In general if you need to perform some crazy strats to beat the Faust DPS check, you're just postponing getting stuck on A1S, or if you somehow make it by that, A2S for sure.
Go in traditional, make sure you tanks and healers know plenty of DPS needs to come from them too. Stack on the butt of Faust and just DPS hard. If you can't do this, someone (or more than one person) is failing to DPS properly. Use ACT to find out who and stick them on the dummy until they learn to play the game.
It's a very easy fight even when people aren't doing that. Personally I think if you have to go the extra mile (doing something like solo tanking, like Rata suggested) then you're probably just gonna enrage the next 2 bosses anyway, so what's the point? I guess you could learn the A1S mechanics before the welfare weapons shit all over the DPS checks next week.
EDIT: I should've refreshed the page, MisterBob said pretty much the same thing
I don't use food or pots for Faust, hell our ninja forgot to put his poison on for over 50% of the fight last week on one of our Faust kills and it was still easy. It's mean to say it but if you can't beat Faust or have to do weird shit to beat it, someone is failing badly.
Thanks for the tips, much appreciated! Overall our DPS just isn't there for some reason, time to start weeding people out.
I typically just let the add get into melee range (healers stack close-ish if possible) and Unleash/Flash/OverpowerIguess on them instead of running over for pickup. No Grit until 3-4 adds, no cooldowns until 4-5 adds, Living Dead on 6th or 7th add.
Outside of a random Deathflare or someone trying too hard to pad numbers, it's stable and people don't die to 2-3 add cleaves usually if it happens once.
If only ISPs and acts of nature didn't prevent us from running.
Is there any way at all to influence the direction you get flung with Wash Away in A3S, or is it purely random?
I have been wondering that myself but so far we haven't figured out anything. Wouldn't be surprised if it were random, otherwise the debuff trading would be too simple.
Hope I'm wrong though!
I don't think so. Although, I've definitely been flung in the same direction multiple times, which is probably just coincidence.
I've tried camera facing, pointing my character, but not pre-running to where i want to be a little bit. First two nothing helped.
I've managed to get some consistency if i sidestep to the direction that I want after the cast ended, right before the animation goes off.
