There's already been several groups that have come within 1% of killing it with a PLD this week; weapons aren't needed for a PLD clear. People just need to not be shit.

Not terribly helpful but they're physical damage, Shade Shift will work to cushion the first couple of hits, I've popped Keen Flurry as well but I've never seen a parry.

Our first run-in with savage Oppressor, I could have sworn I parried one of the missiles on MNK. Started using Keen Flurry since and never parried again...

Raw Intuition doesn't parry it, though one of our group also said he thought he parried one before.

Only thing I can think of (other than people being mistaken) is there's a point of origin for the attack that you have to be facing to parry it.

Wouldn't the WAR ability allow you to pinpoint this because as there's a 50% chance you either parry or take crit damage if that's the case?

EDIT: Nevermind. I checked and see it's front parry or crit anywhere else so should definitely allow you to pinpoint it if true then? Thought it was rear crit only originally.

I think I remember having Raw Intuition work... the catch is that you can't move (or turn?) from the start to the end of the attack. Not entirely sure, only happened once early in progression.

I was going to say I wonder if you can only parry the first hit and that's why it's uncommon to see parries but looking at those both parries weren't the first hit.

I'll try testing some stuff with keen flurry whenever I get missiles on me in the future. Front acc cap on A1S is definitely above 575, but it shouldn't be too far above that. I get a miss every now and then on adds, and finally missed on boss once today. Also our mch switched to nin and we finally cleared A1S. Surprise surprise.

Crazy kill. Rooting for them to get f4 world first but they are behind a few crucial days. I think my static is doing better now in A1, not having a bard initially made a lot of mp management tough but I think it is fine now. We just need to have a few flawless runs with no derps and we got it. Think the healers finding out how much (or how little) they have to heal prey then ignore it and go back to tank made a huge difference.
