Colour me surprised. That just seems so... weird.
o.O
Unless you're one of the very few groups that cleared it pre 200 weaps, there is no way this could ever be a faceroll this week lol
Maybe some claimed it would be as they were trying really hard to impress other nerds, but it's still extremely hard for most groups. Let alone the 99% of the population that isn't anywhere close to A3S.
the npc thats lets you exchange for gears in the respective floors is exactly what it drops on that floor
Boss K is right
I thought I heard Insomnia downed A3S and got a Maiming body, but I could be wrong?
Can't argue with the people who are actually doing the stuff. Though I'm a little surprised they changed up their random-ish loot distribution to something so uniform. It just doesn't make much sense. Kinda sucks for casual groups too... it's a lot harder to progress when the only loot you get are accessories. At least in Coil a bunch of jobs could get pretty big meaningful upgrades from the first floor or two.
I don't understand the surprise. The whole point of the pages is so that you don't have to run millions of times to try get the piece you want.
What does the new token system have to do with actual loot distribution between floors? Nothing really, or at least it shouldn't. Thus the surprise.
It's not the token system then, its the loot table setup.
I don't know, them being linked makes perfect sense to me. It would be pretty silly if you could clear A2 4 times to get a drop from A3 when you were incapable of clearing A3 or whatever.
^
Point taken. It just feels off to me still.
Is this how shit works in WoW?
Anyone have a parse of A1S win (before the I200 weapon were available) to give me? I need to compare some stuff.
If possible i need a parse that has the same jobs as we have which is
MNK DRG PLD WAR MCH SMN WHM SCH
Thanks
Edit does anyone have the ACC cap for A2S and A3S?
Reddit thread seems incomplete
I don't have a parse on hand, but I know our WAR pulls around 600-650ish (before i200) and I pulled about 950 last week before wep.
Not at all (or at least, not as of when I last played).
There's usually only five (head, shoulders, body, hands, legs) of the thirteen slots (previous five, plus weapons, neck, back, wrists, waist, feet, ring, trinket) that have tokens.
The tokens are part of the normal boss loot pool (with each slot corresponding to particular boss, who'll drop a consistent number of tokens and a consistent number of other pieces of loot) and are grouped by class, so you might get a token that can be redeemed by any mage, rogue, druid, or death knight, or one that can be redeemed by a paladin, priest, or warlock.
There used to be gear equivalent to tome gear, but it wasn't usually available in all slots, and they got rid of that in favor of being able to acquire bonus rolls when you kill a boss that can give either a piece of gear or some gold. Unfortunately that means it's possible to go an entire tier without ever being to upgrade a particular slot, due to bad RNG and having no non-RNG method to acquire upgrades.
Week 1: Maiming Head + Tank Legs
Week 2: Healer Legs + BRD/MCH Head
On the war side: 700+ is what was aimed for on first clear but honestly 750-800+ is "safely" achievable in that gear if proper optimization was done and even more if you had good crit RNG. Keep in mind in addition to gear you now have people that completely understand and expect mechanics, so if you had that experience before the numbers would be vastly different.

Probably not completely accurate but gives you an idea.
thanks
I think my group is close on A1S but I think our healers just need to communicate more. We usually lose someone at double prey about half the time (either the prey target or a tank because too much focus on the prey target).![]()
