If someone interviewed me about how time I spent playing video games I'd lie too.
Congratulations to both Elysium and Lucrezia, but thinking that they don't take weeks off of work for this type of stuff is naiive.
This is their life for the most part; assure you that the majority of the scene either works at home, are in school, or are unemployed.
After the first 2 week rush of progression, it dies down. However, it still is a number 1 priority for them.
I know people who didn't even server first and took two weeks off of work.
Yea fuck that, i'd rather work than play a video game 24/7. Fun is only fun when it's not a constant.
damn grats to both elysium and lucrezia
i only just finally cleared turn 3 >.>
also all those comments about "just a game why take leave" etc
it doesnt matter if its a game or is something extremely important
the point is being able to come together with similar interest and dedication and eventually meet your target is commendable
so what if they took weeks off work for a game, you could have took weeks off for something you think is impt but it can be something no one prolly gives a fuck
Man, to all the people doing this kinda stuff, it's just a ton easier to say you took a staycation. Nobody questions a staycation.
The thing is.. who cares what the fuck people do with their time?
In the end, does getting World First, or World 27ths matter? Not really, but if dudes are able to take time off, or whatever it is.. then who cares.
I didn't mean it like that. In this day in age where video games are getting traction in the mainstream media, then yeah, getting first in something is obviously badass, so I guess I shouldn't have said that it doesn't really mean something, but I guess I mean moreso that it shouldn't mean people to the folks who didn't do it.
They put in a ton.. a ton of time working on that shit, so they deserve it. Maybe they'll get some sweet special recognition or something.
I would say there should be unique rewards for world firsts for stuff like this but the OF would hemorrhage blood from their dicks at the very idea.
Also SE would never bother designing anything to reward to literally a handful of players anyway.
They could at least do, like, a super special title or something tho (I don't even display titles but it's something).
IMO no one should post a video at all. See how long it takes the rest of us plebs.
Also, ya'll niggas worry about some silly shit these days. Who cares if dudes take off time from their real life to do this shit? Camman, we had to have known there are multiple people worldwide with this type of time on their hands. The rest of us don't, and it's too bad if you work and are into beating top tier.
Grats to those that beat A4S, mucho props, good job. Though the recognition will be a fleeting moment in time.
A wall plaque would be awesome. FCs could hang them in their house.
Do world 1-10 and Server 1-10 or something. Send it to the party leaders Dbox.
Massive congrats to Elysium and Lucrezia
Can anyone offer some insight on how to better handle the add phase in A3S? My group is working on getting this phase down so we can consistently get to the final phase and it feels like we're mishandling the phase and making it harder than it needs to be.
We've tried sectioning the field up and having 1 dps be responsible for an assigned quadrant but adds can spawn pretty lopsided and make this impractical. Furthermore, if the drainage tethers go to players on the opposite side of the arena from one of the tanks does the tank run through the puddle in the middle in order to grab a tether or is it best that they go around to avoid the ticking damage since drainage can do so much damage in the first place?
