One side effect of not having one tank take both widows and keep them away is that you now have to make sure soldiers are stunned when they die or they blow up. It generally isn't a problem, but it's just one more thing that can go wrong.

    1) Pld - 2 Widows in the nw corner away from everything. Save HG if needed.
    2) Melee - Walker
    3) War - Everything else.

Literately nothing can go wrong. You don't even need to stun anything.

War can aim overpower to not hit the walker, but even if he does and get a stack or two its no problem and it actually kind of helpful to spread the love. No matter what, a doll hitting a tank with 5 stacks hits WAY harder (and can potentially one shot) than the combined damage of a walker hitting a melee with 5 stacks and a doll hitting a tank with no stacks.

You should have learned your lesson in the earlier phases. The first time 2 widows spawn, one tank gets wrecked if you let him tank the walker and get 5 stacks didn't he? Double worse for us, cause in that part of the fight I'm solo healing lol. So much easier to give stacks to melee.

Everything should always be stacked in every phase. There's really no need to have melee tank walker, and they won't if WAR is using Overpower for damage. At this gear level, max stacks a tank should get is 3, usually only 2 if you kill walker first. Use 2 stuns from go kart driver to ensure soldiers die properly after you kill walker.

Stun gobs as they spawn. Tanks pull the rest of the final phase over, caster LB + Self-Destruct it all, clean-up remaining stunned gobs from there.

There's no reason to not stack everything on every wave in this fight.

The walker causes any possible issues in the final wave. Just let it ping pong around. If anyone takes 3 stacks (more the likely the WAR) just have the PLD voke it.

My group found some zen using the following setup for the final phase:

    WAR - Doll, Spider
Monk - Walker for 3 stacks
PLD - Spider/Walker after 3 stacks on Monk

We piled everything in corner for some soup kitchen action and caster LB.

Kill order was Soldiers/Snipers/Walker/Doll/Spider from WAR/Spider from PLD. Once the vuln stacks were about to fall off the PLD, he vokes the second spider so the SCH and I (WAR) can go full DPS (Doll died about the same time).

PLD died to the first prey (unintentionally) so it got a bit interesting for a few GCDs. Thank god I was going for a triple Fell Cleave (using Vengeance for a stack) and was able to take over double duty easily.

I like the idea to keep the Spiders away from the little guys to avoid bangyzoom all together. I might suggest that if we have struggles with our second week clear. I am assuming WAR can go Deliverance for a triple Decimate using cooldowns for the Doll, and jack up the AOE DPS.

The real question now becomes: Can my casual group figure out Digititus? Day 1 was a mess.

Digititis is way easier than people make it out to me. You just need to set hard rules. Obviously if your players can handle a little wiggle room or room for discretion that works too but, yeah. Some groups use markers (e.g. DPS with dmg down sit at A mark and healer goes there to take it). We just assigned people based on roles (e.g. As the SCH I always try to run and meet the tank half way for the first wash away + digititis).

Once you do it enough you'll get good at it. I'd suggest making ACT triggers if you don't have them to make it easier, too. These were the ones I used with my tanks to help remind me when I was still learning:

Expression: Mitsukai Shimakaze suffers the effect of Marked for Vulnerability Up.
    TTS: Mitsu

Expression: Kyne Lyons suffers the effect of Marked for Vulnerability Up.
    TTS: Kyne

The other triggers are the same except it's "Marked for Healing Down" and "Marked for Damage Down" I believe.

For some reason triggers stopped working for me and I can't figure out why.

They don't seem to be able to recognize partial lines of text any more.

If I have a trigger for "suffers the effect of [whatever]" it will only activate if I type in "/echo suffers the effect of [whatever]", it won't trigger when the thing actually happens in combat with the target's name and whatnot.

edit: I'd probably be better off posting in the ACT thread

We actually saw a JP group who did a few things to make magnets easier to see... was interesting:

    1) Turn Titles off
    2) Initials for every name
    3) Tanks used "looking to meld materia sign" to identify tanks

Supposedly it made identifying their partners easier.

@Niiro - Did you change your log settings at all recently? If not, you may just need to reinstall ACT. Someone in my fc had a similar problem and for some reason reinstalling it fixed the issue even though they didn't change anything.

Found the problem, I checked "disable combat log" in the XIV plugin settings a while back and that was apparently it, doesn't tell you what it does aside from reducing the log file size.

I would have expected it to, like, not record everything but to still at least read it >_>

Wish there was a way to keep the mountains of log files from piling up in the ACT folder.

Before Heavensward I deleted my act log files. I had close to 85 gb in it.. so it adds up. I just clean it out once a month or so now.

Late and echo-y but, last phase.

As last wave begins, I am running from SW corner (where the previous wave's goblin clusterfuck spawns) to SE corner (where this wave's goblin clusterfuck spawns), Flashing the Jagd + south widow as I pass by. At the same time, walker pilot is already at SE applying stunlock on that first bunch. Co-tank (WAR) brings the other gobwidow and everything else. Boomtype is dead by 2 vuln stacks. I pop HG once I am in position at SE with my Jagd and Widow. My flashspam may or may not pick up other things.

Though I dunno how much easier this turn is like 5 weeks later because I've since quit!

Can't contribute the playtime anymore and my PC decided to just say "fuck this I'm out" on multiple levels. And the game's design finally broke me; I don't care enough to fix my problems quickly enough to come back. I'm just not motivated for any reason but my static and tbh I was a cause of our restrictive raiding times so I feel it's for the better.

Finally getting past tornados regularly in a3s, the penis analogy was very helpful. Thank you for that.

Few days after this post our SCH came on and said he had a burnout and will quit raiding. Then a day goes by and suddenly he feels better and might consider playing again. Now its been few days and I don't personally know what to do anymore. Our progress in A3S hasnt gone anywhere in 4 weeks. It's not like there is a lot to do outside raids if you aint into shit like crafting and RP.

Feels like there are only more problems waiting after one gets solved. Dunno if I should just look for a new group or flat out quit and start playing Destiny again.
