GC turn in - 1000 seals
buy lvl 30 globe you can equip
Choco pugs just cleared turn 4.....
also many peeps i know always reached enraged etc etc and then suddenly cleared within a day after doing cheese, and double cheese (ignoring Nisi and also ignoring dolls)
because of this, my static now wanna do double cheese
SE better fix this shit, because this has become a joke now! even A3S is tougher to learn than A4S >.>
from my point of view as a melee, basically all i do in A4S now is hitting 5 dummy.....
and risk inciting an unrelenting rage from the OF crowd complaining about the increase in difficulty before they cleared the fight?
(When in reality they haven't even cleared floor 1...)
Doubt it.
Yeah I hope they leave it be. Alexander is terrible coming off the heels of Coil. The faster we can get Alex into one night status the better off we all will be.
im just generally dumbfolded at gimmicks between A3S to A4S(cheesed)
i wouldnt mind a cheese clear tbh, since for melee, cheese way or proper way has no relation to what im doing as a melee
which is what my static is going to "change" into now, cos fuck nisi and i can understand why
im saying in general, A4S mechanics is obviously not properly programmed even tho the idea is nice if meant to be done properly
every single coil SE has to fuck up some mechanics it seems
The slow/unreliable position updates that constantly fuck you over in A3 with tether/debuff passing letting you double-splode orbs in A4 is poetic justice as far as I'm concerned.
SE has ways to fix it without fixing the crappy position updates but it seems they are going to let it slide and just fix it (design around it) the next raid tier. Though it is funny that the ignore Nisi method is the most common method to clear, just take a look at FFlogs and you'll see nearly every group do it.
As I've said before, I'm positive they tested A3 pretty extensively (because I think they knew this is what most of the raiding population would be stuck on), but I doubt the dev team ever really tested or even came close to clearing 4. It is tuned WAY too damn high to actually do Nisi all the way through as they intended. Especially considering the amount healers need to DPS to fight the enrage timer.
If the DPS check wasn't so rough/the gear tuning was a bit lower, then maybe it would be feasible for most groups to juggle Nisi. I feel like a huge scrub for not getting my group into gear cascading for the first time in all of my raiding experience in this game, because it was actually needed here.
They probably "tested" it with every i210 piece available from esoterics and A1-3 at their disposal.
I remember reading somewhere that they take the the maximum damage of 4 dps and 2 tanks at the recommended ilvl, subtract 15% and that's your enrage. This includes Alexander Savage and no healer dps is taken into account.
Sorry, but I just don't buy it, unless A4S is tuned to like i230 or something daft.
I presume they tuned it the same way they did SCoB Savage at i110 with regards to A3S/A4S. You already having the best gear (not actually possible in this case since Savage Alex drops higher-ilvl gear over norm), melded shit where applicable, and everyone in the party going balls to the wall to clear checks + mechanics.
That and making the healers cry with mechanics stacking that involves damage going out.
Well....static officially imploded tonight. R.I.P. October 2013-September 2015 (with some reps along the way). Sub cancelled, ends in 85 days. Boo.
Yoshi P helped this game rise like Phoenix from the ashes, and has now plucked all its feathers and watching it fall back to the ground.
Healers in T12 got to see how bad the position update is. You literally need one person to sit still while another tags them. Its awful and retarded, but they'll keep on throwing that mechanic in.
The tuning for SCOB Savage was definately not as hard/high as the current tuning, the enrages and dps checks were mostly a second though to doing mechanics correctly.
I don't feel the way the tuning for Alex was wrong, A1-3S were all cleared with less than 2 weeks worth of gear. I don't think it's wrong for a final boss for a raid tier to require several weeks of gear to complete. The primary problem I feel is the lack of content, you could get away with the final boss be a bit of a cockblock when you have 8-12 bosses in a raid tier (WoW style) but when you can only release 4 bosses ever 6 months it becomes a big issue when a large part of your population are stuck doing 2 bosses for weeks with no feeling of progression, especially in the previous tiers they were able to somewhat complete/clear the raid at this point.
