Claiming that a fight you still haven't beat is 2ez and would've been downed long ago if you weren't so busy drowning in pussy 24/7 IRL is an OF level cop out.

Well... I think A3S is challenging.
I don't think any one is arguing that it isn't challenging. Just a bunch of people exaggerating exactly how challenging it is.
It took us about 6 weeks of between 4 and 7 hours raiding a week due to shit static scheduling at the moment so I agree. I don't see how it's difficult to put aside 2-3 hours a night even if you have kids if you really want to do the content. Kids do have a bedtime. It certainly is weighing what you want to do more. No one is going to judge you for for putting your family's time before a games but if people are going to complain because their 3 hours a week static isn't getting anywhere I really don't know what to tell them. Welcome to MMOs?Claiming that a fight you still haven't beat is 2ez and would've been downed long ago if you weren't so busy drowning in pussy 24/7 IRL is an OF level cop out.
Well that's a given, but I was more referring to the discussion here.
We have a whole thread for making fun of the OF/Reddit/Facebook/etc.
Do you have a job? Do you have school? That schedule is maybe possible if you are in school, but an 8-9 hour job, +4 hours of raiding = 13 hours a day right there. Factor in 6-8 hours of sleep per night and that's 19-21 hours of your day taken up. How do you have time for friends/family/social life? Add in eating, basic bodily care, ect... and thats 20 & 1/2 - 22 & 1/2 hours of your day taken up.
If your able to use that 2-3 hours of free time to spend w/ friends and family then kudos to you, but most people arent like that so you can't be talking like that's a normal thing. I can promise you after spending a day of writing motions, research, ect.. If i had your schedule I would be way to tired to spend that 2-3 hours spending time w/ friends and family
But if I worked at a starbucks then maybe?
I am a law student and was working a full time internship when Savage launched. I continued raiding 4 times a week 3-4 hours a night when school started while planning a wedding. Getting married in less than 2 weeks.
I hang out with law school friends on occasion, but bar hopping and other kind of shit most kids consider being "social" isn't for me. Both me and my fiancee are homebodies, she reads and I game.
Edit: Also the way you describe time needed to hang out with friends and family makes it sound like a chore. I don't live at home, so I don't see my family every day or something. I schedule our weekend raids around any family gatherings that may come up every once in awhile.
Nope, toned down to 3 weekdays with 1 weekend. Really easy IMO. Do most of my reading/homework on the weekend and just review my reading notes during the week before classes. Finals are crunch time, but I still raid. It just means when I am preparing for finals I cut out doing anything for leisure in any sense and only log in for raid.
Edit 2: People seem to forget that the faster you finish content the faster you go back to raiding once a week for ~2-4 hours at most. Been that way for me for almost a month now, I'd prefer that than to raiding every week for 6 hours for 3-4x as long.
Most of the people in my static are out of school and working full time now (myself included) so scheduling and getting shit on farm is so much more of a headache than it used to be. Probably the main reason we haven't downed A4S yet. People's work schedules just don't match anymore but getting on that 2-3 hours a week schedule quicker certainly is nice.![]()
Thats my main complaint with Alexander lol. By this point in Coil I was raiding one night a week and still felt like I was accomplishing something. At least my group is pretty casual which sucks for completeing stuff (I doubt we have 7 hours in A3S but we have 8 A2S clears) but I won't get burnt out. (Married, 2 kids, 60hr week job)
Some people have less free time than others for sure. and that can make scheduling hard. I know I won't have as much free time when I have kids in a few years and am also working as an associate with most likely shit hours. But in the free time I do have, I want to spend it raiding/playing the game. That's why I am always confused by fellow students who know I am a gamer and say things to me like, "Man I wish I still had time to play games, I don't know how you make it work." Then I hear them say things like "Dude I marathoned battle star galactica this weekend" or "I hit this new bar downtown until 3am" (law students love to drink).
It's not that they don't have time, they just choose to spend the time they do have on other things and something like a video game is a low priority. I feel like it's a really simple concept that's hard to understand for some reason.
