as a Rafa fan it's been a difficult year

it's been nice seeing Federer hit top form again, tho, and the Wawrinka-Djokovic matches have been brilliant the past couple years (assuming both advance)

I've been on the Wawrinka bandwagon for a while now (even before he was competing for majors *hipster glasses*) but I'm fine with him losing to an underdog.

I'll root for Gasquet and Fed at this point. Idk when Rafa will get right again.

People were so quick to crown Federer as the best men's player in the history of the game, but he filled a void where there was no real competition. Nadal was on pace to put up even more impressive numbers than Federer and he had him beat head-to-head, but unfortunately he can't stay healthy.

Unless Nadal finds a fountain of youth or Murray starts being consistent, Djokovic will rack up another 6-8 titles over the next 3 years and have a good chance to surpass Federer in grand slam wins.

Agreed, he pretty well dismantled Fed today. Could have been straight sets. Fed couldn't break him..

It was the same story with Fed vs. Murray though - I give the credit to Nole being a machine rather than a knock on Fed.
