If anything, I like seeing how they handle certain boss battles, but otherwise it seems tough viewing SR on RPGs. I think a lot comes down to the runner though. Between the runner or the peeps on the couch, they can make a huge difference.

RIP SGDQ'15 stream. Five months until AGDQ'16.

A couple mic issues aside, props to the audio crew manning this one. Large improvement over the load of technical issues and volume level problems on prior GDQs.

No race with Zoast is a disappointment. Dude was on WR pace until he failed metroid skip.

It's safe to say that this GDQ was by far the smoothest ever from a technical standpoint. Very few audio issues, pretty good setup times, no real fiascos in terms of runs going too far over time, no major controversies other than Crash 2 streamer getting himself kicked out (seems like there's always one per marathon).

Apparently they hit their attendance cap with 1200 attendees which is really impressive. Don't know how much more this will scale, but even if it plateaus, it's incredible to think that this whole thing started in someone's basement only 5 or 6 years ago.

that's my biggest gripe for save/kill, if he were to be on pace for WR, it would be heartbreaking to see him have to go after them lol

If I ran GDQ I'd be ridiculously pissed if Zoast did that. It'd jeopardized probably the biggest incentive of donations for future GDQ's, so I'm sure there's some kind of stern agreement prior to the run to adhere to saving the animals if it won out.

Just watched the Chrono Trigger run. The feels at the end man... Damn, always depressing when these kind of things end.

Finally getting the chance to watch the LttP run on VOD. I've never seen it speed run and used to play it all the time. It's really great to watch, especially a 100%.

Forgot to mention it here, but after SGDQ hosted this guy who does some speed runs and was casually playing Chrono Trigger. Dude was great and went on for another 10 hours after he said he was up for about 19 prior to everyone flooding him.
