On a serious note -- contemplating removing FAAB bids in BG $ next year and doing true waiver wire pickups.

Prevents situations where last place teams can bid mucho money on players for no reason.... would anyone be in favor of this.

I don't mind either way - I'm still pretty new to FAAB though and still trying to get used to it so it's cool to get experience.

I was gonna say, waiver wire doesn't eliminate this at all. Actually makes it easier to cock block since they need to have a lot of $$$ saved up with auction.

We can keep it, was merely a suggestion. What I might do however, is adjust how we hand out points. Provide bonus FAAB for those who scores the highest in the league that weak, penalizing for those who scores the least.... worst coaching gets penalized..... would that interest you guys? We will still keep the FAAB updates based on standings.

My money league did that for a while and it fucking sucks. If you were ever busy on a Sunday you were screwed out of every guy who scores or every injury replacement.

The best waiver wire imo is when you drop to last after picking and it doesn't reset. That way it's fair on everyone and you have to be tactical about whether you really want a guy or if you'd rather wait for better priority on someone later / when you really need it.

2 of my leagues have it set to reset of inverse of standings every week which is bullshit. If you're doing well, you may as well not bother with the waiver wire as you're never going to get anybody even mediocre. It's especially a problem if you get an injury late on. It also favors people on the periphery of the playoffs as they get great late season pick-ups when people who are out stop paying attention.

Yuck. Teddy or Smith are safe plays. Osweiler has upside in that he hasn't been trash yet, unlike the rest.

The way it is now is fine. Tyche jokingly made a stink about missing out on Amendola because his players are getting hurt and it's a repeat of last year with him being Point God but out of the playoffs. He's going through his usual mid-season crisis. It will pass. I vote no changes.
