Am I just having bad luck or something? Done a whole lot of SR in the past 3-4 days and have only seen Teodor like once or twice. Before it seemed like everyone had an equal chance of popping.

Did like 100+ runs so far;
Mage setup BLM SCH BLM GEO and Melee BLU THF BRD GEO setup.
Melee setup seemed to be able to kill faster and more consistently, but was a let less table than mage party (need a good whm who know what his doing) - if you get arciela/theodore/arciela; mages are going to have the hardest (time wise to take it down)
Oh and it's completely /random - I mean everything
Thought at one point there was some kind of pattern in specific NMs pops when in mage setup or melee setup; but after many more runs had to conclude it was totally /random - as well as augments on drops![]()
I just do mage setups. Stand there, press some buttons, WHM stands there and questions life and why he is even here, win.
wrong thread
sinister in japanese sounds like shinisuta-, thief in japanese is shifu, often abbreviated to shi, hence THFnisuta
Saddest or happiest Witching Robe - you decide.
Just seen in town:

Similarly, there's a much higher chance of perfect augments than you'd predict from a perfectly random augment system. I'd guess the odds of perfect augments are around 5%.
A little less than 3 pieces per run. I've done maybe 20 runs and seen about 3 pieces with perfect augments (Divinity, Witching Robe, and the summoner pants). If it was truly random, the odds would be much much lower than that.
I've seen a lot more perfect augs than that; I'd estimate the rate of perfect augs that I've gotten at about 15%.
I still don't understand Arciela v2 with mage setup. We mage burn everything else in there in 30-60 seconds no problem, but have to bring 1 melee just in case we get Arciela v2.
How exactly do most mage groups handle her and how long does it usually take (good runs and bad runs).
I haven't fought her as a mage and thus don't know her magic evasion, but from the skillchain damage I am pretty sure that Arciela resists magic damage based on her hand glow. When it's glowing light, she seems to resist all darkness-associated elements (earth/water/ice/dark), and when she's glowing dark she seems to resist the opposite. I'm pretty sure that was the correlation, anyway.
Ya she can take a while. She switches from light based weakness to dark based weakness and back with ascend and descend. We usually alternate Fire and Ice or something to whatever is needed. Also have to use dispel or finale accordingly to that to get rid of anything annoying she casts on herself.
Good runs with stuff like Tiger > Morimar > White Dragon things melt in 8 minutes around maybe.
Bad runs with stuff like Arciela > MrVampireIhaveTooManyShadows > Arciela2 can take 15 minutes.
Yeah, that's exactly how v1 works and she always starts in dark mode so can usually kill her with MB thunder volley before she can even change once. In stark contrast, the few times I've tried to make mage setup work on v2 was me spamming tier2 of every damn element with idris malaise/focus/lang/acumen up and not finding any nuke that did over 1K damage for over 2-3min before saying screw it and using a melee to kill it.
If she changes that fast, I guess that rules out MBing her, which would really hurt killspeed for mage setup =/
Teodor isn't so bad if you have well geared GEOs with -ra2/3, BLM for ja/aga and even SCH with /BLM can do work with plain old thundaga when he puts shadows up. We usually free nuke him until 75%, do a SC/MB volley, which brings him to <30% before he puts shadows up, then finish him off with another SC/MB volley except with -ra3 and thundaga.
