Was a trick figured out for Vir'ava or is August tank still the way to go?
We use Attunement+Vex and a run tank to resist charm.
You can use August if you want, I regularly do her as GEO BLM SCH WHM ??? + August. Last job can just have as a nuker or go w/o it.

Yeah, I think the BLM+August method is fairly straightforward and most groups should be able to pull it off. Though, WHM shouldn't be necessary; August is such a beast all he really needs is regen5 and he can take care of himself, only very rarely have I needed to throw him a cure, which the PLD can do.
I don't think I've seen a video demonstrating how fast, simple the BLM method is, so if it helps anyone I'll share mine:

From what I can understand, WoC has 6 possible SP combos in bracelets mode :
Hundred Fists + Mighty Strikes
Blood Weapon + Hundred Fists
Manafont + Perfect Dodge
Invincible + Benediction (game over)
Meikyo Shisui + Eagle Eye Shot
Call Wyvern + Familiar
Killing the Wyvnavs prevents WoC from using Soul Voice + Chainspell combo (interesting), Astral Flow and Mijin Gakure.
Locking Invincible before the bracelets mode also locks Benediction...?
It actually uses Call Wyvern > Familiar > Astral Flow all in the span of 10 seconds when bracelets are up. This has been the biggest of our issues(even more than charm and bene), since if you don't apply vex fast enough, 6 unresisted breaths on the same target is an instant KO. It certainly feels like SV and Bene are extremely rare, so if you can manage to kill fast enough and get more lucky than we did there's a decent shot at winning.
Anyways, we got 2 to around 10% today. First it used Bene 13min~ in(SS above, very unlucky) and 2nd was the 3rd set of 6 wyvern catching us off guard and getting breaths off w/o vex being applied(really our mistake and preventable, but harder for us because so many are multiboxing).
Sadly, we haven't been able to use SPs fast enough to lock or it just doesn't use the SPs we're trying to lock before bracelets.
Does anyone know what the elemental weakness is for the AA in escha? I would like to do them for a few people to get them the vorseals but been playing around with Fire and Thunder, AA GK is just plain annoying so much HP....
Use rngs for gk. Takes ages if you go with magic
Yeah, why spend 5-10 minutes trudging through gks hp for a vorseal with melee or nukes when you could spend an indeterminate amount of time putting together a group of rngs(???) for a single kill.
Well I'm sure tomorrow we'll get more power and the kills will flow in more easily.
You could always keep the amount of people low and only use your best nukers to kill it multiple times. The lower the person count, the more powerful the Helix ticks are compared to it's max HP. There is no real weakness as far as I can tell. Just use Thunder or whatever day is up.GK
If it's true that locking invincible will also lock benediction, then this fight will probably have a 90% success rate and take around 15min to clear each time with 2 good BLM. We had the same kill speed with 2 BLM as the JP 16-man video using like 4 BLM, so it should be even easier after the update like you said.
Few tricks we picked up on I didn't notice in the JP blogs or videos:
ES meteor for 6-pack wyvern. Does around 6K damage with Idris malaise.
Bolster/BoG malaise is not necessary(assuming Idris) pre-bracelets to hit 99K Death MB. Better to save for bracelet mode.
BLM/SCH using alacrity is extremely powerful for this. Reduces Death recast to around 30 seconds. Cycle looks like: MB> BLM#1 Death > BLM#2 waits until he sees BLM#1 cast, then casts Comet > BLM#1 casts Aspir3. This allows for 8 deaths in the span of 4-5 minutes. All spells doing full damage and not getting hit by resist wall.
If it's true that 2 hours can be locked, why not lock call wyvern?
