Wow that was fucking horrible. They actually managed to put in a twist that was completely unexpected and could have been super shocking but the execution and ending were so godawful that it fell completely flat.

Yeah so far it seems to just be a bit of comedy sketch with ecchi. Although something odd did happen which may lead to something interesting?

In ep12, the emporer gives haku 2 girls... which are like 2nd from the top of priestesses of the country called the Kamunagi of chains. I guess it will lead to something considering how powerful apparently these 2 are (ability to use magic etc etc)

Did you watch the old Utawarerumono? I haven't even seen a single ep of this new one so I don't know what happened in ep 2 but I do know the old series had shit jump off and it just kept getting more and more raw for quite some time.

Uta started off awesome for the first few eps, but it's been comedy and harem/party building ever since like episode 2 or 3. People on reddit are saying that the story should be picking up now that the whole cast is assembled, but it's been like 3 months of random hijinks and baths every week.
