I was watching the highlights of RG3 getting destroyed, then I saw they somehow won and Cousins survived. Was the offensive line letting RG3 get destroyed on purpose?

I would hope not.

Bob has his own share of issues, but he didn't even have a chance last night. Willie Smith starting at LT in place of Trent Williams was ridiculous. Scherff RG had a bad game, lots of rookie mistakes ... Moses at RT is a new starter in his second year and made his share of mistakes too. Lauvao at LG was never great. Finally, Gruden stuck with straight-up pocket pass plays which is obviously not RG3's strength, I guess with the idea that he needs work in the pocket so why not do it during preseason?

After Cousins went in the game, they switched up the play calling to involve more rollouts and I think a little RO as well (things that are more RG3's strong suite). Fans are kind of raging that they were willing to switch it up for Cousins and not Griffin, but again, RG3 needs the pocket work so I guess that's the reason.

RG3's statline for the game ended up being 2/5 for something like 12 yards?... he got sacked 3 times, hit 6 times (on 8 dropbacks, that's 75%, crazy), fumbled twice (one of which occurred on the last play when he was already concussed from an earlier hit), and had one pass batted down. Either the team is trying to get him killed or the coaches are, who the fuck knows.

I'm no Griffin apologist, but he didn't have a chance last night.
