Pretty much this. What fucked Goodell was himself. I'm glad Brady won because the players deserve a fair system when it comes to discipline matters, and Goodell is not a fair system, and the fact that he's lost some pretty major cases recently doesn't look good on him. I hope it opens the owners eyes a bit(though I doubt that), but their needs to be a system in place to handle shit fairly, and Rog isn't that.

Even though fuck Tom is guilty, the way everything was handled was done very poorly, so good on him for winning, and I don't see that an appeal from the NFL will overturn this ruling

Fair or not I think it's pretty clear that it's 100% allowed by the CBA, which players agreed to. An appeal just needs 2/3 random judges to agree with the signed document over Berman so I can easily see it happening.

You're correct on that, however, the fact that Goodell treats different players differently circumvents that. Everyone is entitled to be treated as an equal, and Rog hasn't done that when it comes to disciplining players, and that's what fucks him.

8 of the 13 2nd circuit judges are appointees from democratic presidents. If we assume the dem judges would be pro player and the bush appointees would be pro NFL, then the odds aren't great. Again, assumptions. But that's the composition of judges.
