I remember plenty of people talking about how Lafell was garbage and wouldn't even make the roster on any other team when he was with CAR as their #2.

He's fucking solid. Great blocker (and likes to do it), decent speed, good hands, and good size.

Yes, excellent signing by New England. The guy was fucking great last year. He had catches in the postseason that are now historic highlights for the NFL. People will be seeing Brady to Lafell in clips 10 and 20 years from now. Not having him for the beginning of the season is an unexpected blow.
