Final Fantasy Portal (Android, iOS)

This came out on the Apple and Google App stores either last night or this morning. You log in with your SE account. It also comes with Triple Triad (doesn't currently link with FFXIV to my knowledge) and a free version of FF1.

The app has a point shop. Points can be gained by daily logins, viewing topics (and clicking the Get Points button at the bottom of every article), watching videos, and playing TT. I'm not sure about points for FF1. Points can be exchanged for wallpapers, TT cards, and supposedly even item codes (although there are no item codes currently available).

Free FFI is just for a limited time, if you delete FFI after the limited time, you'll have to buy it

also TT requires 1 stamina crystal and it seems to take 30min to refresh

Indeed. It runs smooth on my S4, except I couldn't get multiplayer to work on TT when I tried this morning.

It'll be interesting to see what all comes out of their points shop, especially the item codes section. Exclusive FFXIV and XI stuff maybe? Who knows.

Some of these achievements for unlocking new cards are terrifying. Win 100 versus matches in a row? I hope that includes the proximity matches via bluetooth, or some of these with be damn near impossible to get.

lol this is pretty fun. FF1 is a pain to play in general tho and ive played it on PSP (which is way smoother and fun imo)

but Triple Triad is nice. theres a lot of cards and they're spread across the series.. including XI for once.

Up to hard on solo play. Its amazing, as long as you keep winning(the first time) you keep getting a crystal to keep going.

I just got to shantotto on normal. Fuck Chaos rule. Game is fun as hell. Although, crystals go too quick sadly.

To be honest, I wish crystals accumulated past the 5. Way to easy to blow your load in like 5 minutes.

Can confirm, versus matches over bluetooth count towards the achievements, so if you have the means you can throw matches to get wins. Also handy for trading cards to friends and such.

Issue with this is I'm already done with all the available opponents and almost done collecting cards from Moogle. I know theres a lot more cards to collect but without more objectives and the MP being ass, feels like there isn't much else to do D:

I approve of free Triple Triad. Tying it to SE account is good too. I eagerly await free FFXI or XIV goodies.

Mildly interested. Went to sign up for a new SE account. Confirmation e-mail hasn't arrived after 10 minutes. Not caring anymore, can see SE is still the piece of shit it used to be.

Edit: So supposedly you can't use an email you've used in the past, and Square doesn't think it's important to give you some kind of notification that you entered an email you have already used. Thanks SE!

There's 5 star cards that show up on the hard difficulties. I've obtained Bahamut from Moogle and WoL from WoL. I'm not sure if there's a trigger on it or if it's just luck that they showed up after I collected all their 4-stars.
