Good News Everybody!
I'm glad the new Shantae is coming over. I didn't like it as much as Pirate's Curse, but it was still a lot of fun.

How do promotions like that work for something that is still selling out on arrival? I guess it's only 792 units if it starts today, so it's not that hard to believe they could secure a stock. I guess somewhere in the rules there could also be some mention of it being shipped within 180 days or something to give them time to get the units.
It sells out on arrival in the states? Almost every electronic store in Sweden have Switch in stock.
It's not sold out on arrival =/ people just imagining a demand akin to OG Wii...
Some areas have trouble picking it up easily, but I have a hard time imagining you can't pick one up between all the walmarts, targets, and gamestops in any area unless you live in deep rural areas. I'm in South Floridian suburbs and I see at least one on the shelf whenever I go to walmart.

Except Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Gamestop still don't have it readily available online either.
The last few reports I read have suggested that the demand is comparable -- 2.86 million Wii's sold in its first quarter, the Switch sold 2.74.

(Although, I'm a little confused as these numbers were published at the end of April, but they say they're reporting 87 days of sales..)
It's definitely not fake demand.
In the DFW area of Texas they still sell out in less than a day of arriving every time.
I should know, I have to deal with all the angry people / phone calls when they sell out at Target.
I've only seen them in stock in my area on 2 days since launch: Launch day when I got in line to get one at Target and the Saturday the day after Mario Kart launched. Aside from that I haven't seen it in stock anywhere around here and I'm not in a deep rural area.
I've been wanting a Switch here in AZ since release. I told myself if I happen to see one in stock when I'm st the store I'll buy it. My spouse said the same thing. We go to target (3-4 different locations depending where we're at) about 2-3 times a week and there's a GameStop by two of them. I've also made a few random stops at a walmart and toys r us on days where I'm driving around to see if they're available. Nothing. Ever. Hey always tell me good luck and they don't even know the exact day or time the next shipment comes in. There's definitely a demand.
So you guys saying how rare it is makes me want to go flip them on ebay.
