Metroid Prime 4 may not be that far off, likely mid 2018. Retro would have to have been working on it for a minute since Tropical Freeze.

They may not have announced a date or shown anything because they do want a proper Direct to celebrate the series missed anniversary and announce it properly.

Was it confirmed for Switch though? I notice the Luigi GIF, but unsure if it's a confirmation, though it says 'your favorite platforms', whatever that means.
