For 2018, I would say a Smash 4.5.

If this was 2019, I would have said flat out Smash 5. But I think Nintendo finally has a sweet spot for competitive Smash mechanics in 4 between Brawl and Melee, and to disturb that with a whole new engine now would be silly.

TFS opened a door of possibilities.

Even being a port, putting on the Switch has so much potential.

I just feel like it hasn't been long enough since smash 4, yeah. I'll take a 4.5 if that's what it is. I don't see it being 5 with a release date of this year.

That said, we haven't gone a console since the GC without a new smash, so maybe we're in for a surprise.. Hard to say!

That direct put me in the mood for some Splatting.

It'll be a smash 4 port. We're getting tropical freeze, captain toad, and we just got bayonetta as well.

I really hope they port Super Mario 3D world someday.

So from the smash silhouettes in that trailer:

I can see Marth and Bowser. Link is 100% his BotW version.
The character on the far right kinda has Zelda's body type, but I don't know why she would have her BotW version.
Taller guy next to Bowser could be Ryu or Ike.
