Well Square has been using the 3DS as a platform for a Bravely and every Dragon Quest to an extent. I would just expect that to continue (heck SE let it out of the bag early that DQ11 was coming to NX)

If the console is again weaker then what's available from the other companies it's the same shit all over again of reduced 3rd party support since ports won't be worth the effort required.
Multiplatform releases are going to look so bad on this new console… It really doesn't matter how easy it is to code for, the companies have to optimize it to work still which requires a lot of testing. It'll probably be shitty ports like the PC usually gets that won't be fixed for 1-2 months. And don't bet on 1080p + 60FPS, that isn't even standard on PS4 yet.
I'd pay double the retail price for some of Nintendo's IP if they released it on PC.
Godamn, old/new Zelda on my PC.
Metroid would be tits too.
So watching a video by ReviewTechUSA and he points out a really good idea with the dock. If Nintendo offers to sell additional docks, then you could buy docks for different rooms, or even different houses (for instance if you have a lake house) and can more easily take your console from room/house to room/house.
lol!
Nintendo loves their gimmicks. Can't release a decent console because their hardcore will deep throat whatever they thrust. I'm going to quote this thread in one year of it's release to remind exactly what's/will happen to this shitty console, while buyers come up with with new and gimmick excuses. But yo! I can totally dock in another room! LMAO.
I just want a decent handheld to replace my 3DS.
I don't think there's a market for a third console like Xbox/PS4 ,which are basically identical minus exclusives, a third console like that would be redundant and probably flop, Nintendo lost that position in the N64 era.
Do you think the potential buyers of a PS4/Xbox would go for a nintendo console only because it matches the specs of the other two?
Not many people buys more than one console, I barely know anyone that had both, a PS3 and a 360, if they did, they were very much into gaming and they're not your average consumer.
Nintendo is in a tough position, they obviously shouldn't launch a considerably underpowered console like they did with Wii U because that didn't work, but I don't think going into an arms race with Sony and MS is going to do them any good either.
i dont think they should release anyconsole at all. They should instead shut down consoles and produce software only for PS4 and Xbone and Android. Maybe keep the handheld market but even that is getting tougher.
They could fucking dominate the market with their IPs on those consoles and MS ir Sony would pay millions for exclusiv titles

Yeah no. The Wii U was undoubtedly a misstep, but Nintendo has made mad bank off console sales this last decade, both the Wii (which sold more then both the 360 and PS3) and the various versions of the 3DS
Most people may not have a PlayStation and an Xbox, but they certainly have one of the two + a Nintendo console and likely a handheld. Their consoles will never be like Sony/Microsoft because they aren't nearly the same size as those two. Gameplay and innovation, be it hit or miss, has been their long-term business plan and nobody should be expecting anything different. As long as their first party games continue to pull in the masses, that's exactly what they will do, but they do need to get their mobile game on to increase their market share there. No, PokemonGo doesn't count.

Demographic is the same as any other Nintendo console, better software support for developers.
Lots of new Rumors:
Region Free would be nice, but don't most dev kits not have region controls and then theyre added later? Just because there is no news on Nintendo adding them in doesn't mean there wont be.
The detachable controllers make sense now if theyre using the detachable parts as replacement for the Wiimotes.
Ubisoft: NX is Much Easier to Develop for than the Wii U

Either an official unveil (not likely) or announcement of an unveil date (much more likely) to happen at a surprise Nintendo Direct this friday, on the 5th anniversary of the first Nintendo Direct.
Global banking and investment group Macquarie Group reporting the NX could retail for 300-350, basically the same price as the Wii U, with bundle versions at $100 more.
Believed to be both a portable and home console at this point.
Also, Beyond Good and Evil 2 may end up being a NX exclusive, and a new trailer will be shown alongside the NX reveal.
Finally, was wondering when they were going to get around to announcing this. Looking forward to getting actual info instead of just all the rumors we've been getting for months and months lol.
I'm just waiting to see if it can play 3DS games somehow or not before I decide to upgrade to a new 3DS so I can stream 3DS games
