Nope, not paying top dollar for a 720p tablet that comes with matching controllers. Big list of developers doesn't matter if online architecture is better with their competitors, and the new updated consoles will unarguably produce better visuals then this "console". First party content is apparently where it's going to be at, which is par for course. I learned my lesson with these guys, they won't fool me thrice.

Bough wii for xenoblade chronicles, didnt buy wi u til xenoblade X dropped, and have never bought another wii u game after.

If Nintendo wants me to buy their pos console for s third time, they best start throwing money at monolith soft.

Only care about 1st party games, so enough for me to buy.
Also it will be nice to finally do away with having both a home console and handheld. I can only assume if NX goes well, theyll drop their handheld line and have this hybrid instead.
Pokemon on the big screen finally.

On one hand Nintendo has had an every other console is good thing going for a while. They are the Windows of consoles.
On the other the trailer did nothing to excite me. They tried to show it as new and exciting but the games they showed were all very familiar. It was neat seeing Skyrim on it but i have a feeling most people who would play it have it already on another platform.
If I hadn't already had a WiiU i would likely get it for Zelda....but i do. so i won't. It has a long way to go to convince me to get it as a 2nd console.

Uh, Wii and Wii U were both pretty weak. Wii U for sure, but Wii is constantly blasted for its lack of 3rd party support. It sold very well, which saves it in the eyes of many, but from a gaming perspective I was disappointed in it whole heartily.

Oh, I love their first party titles, but not enough to early adopt and pay anything resembling top dollar. When these start getting discounted a year after release and get bundled with two games I'll pick it up, but only if I'm not heavily invested in VR by then. If I am, I'll wait for the inevitable $200-250 price point when the competitors are lining up their new consoles.

Not really interested in first party games, but if it has a good third party support like the DS/3DS, I'll end up buying it down the line, I don't own any of this gen's consoles and I'm interested in a handheld. This only needs to have the right games for me to buy it.

A full console experience that I can fit in a backpack is a huge appeal for me. I've primarily been a laptop gamer for a decade for just that reason.

If this system ever gets a Monster Hunter game? Dear God.

Activision is on the developer list too... maybe we all move from PS4 to Switch for Destiny >.>

Wii U discs I understand. If they approach Wii U BC by using their new online platform to "upload" Wii U titles into online or in-console storage then thats fine. I hope Nintendo is just being crafty in saying it won't "read" the formats vs not being able to play them at all.

The 3DS carts is puzzling. For a few reasons:

1. If the DS line is to be discontinued, Nintendo has ALWAYS been good on letting their portable systems be BC for a few generations back before the GB to DS switch, and then with DS and 3DS titles. It would be really silly (and really stupid) to break precedent here. Especially if no Wii U BC at all.

2. There will be a clamshell 2nd screen attachment for the Switch later on that WILL read DS/3DS carts.

3. There will be a DS successor. That just seems an even worse decision in terms of competing directly with yourself ( Next DS vs Switch) when you're already branding the Switch as a portable/mobile solution.

They never said anything about it. Anything you read prior to yesterday was 100% speculation.

The idea of that happening made me yearn for an accessory for the Wii U/3DS like you could get for the Gamecube/GBA to play your handheld games on the big screen.

Wait so, the dock adds no extra horsepower? Everything's in the tablet?
