Adventure Game Rime Now Coming To Xbox, PC and Switch

Action-puzzle game Rime was today re-revealed for the PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch after over a year of silence from developer Tequila Works. Rime, slated for May, was previously a PS4 exclusive.

Rime is a anticipated open-world game set on an island from which a boy is trying to escape. According to IGN, in Rime, “Players must navigate the island’s secrets by making use of light, sound, perspective and even time.”

Tequila Works, who also developed Deadlight, announced Rime at Gamescom in 2013. Threats of cancellation followed its debut. In an August interview with IBITimes, Rime’s developers said that they were silent, in part, because “we are only going to allow people to play the game when it’s fully ready. We have no bulls**t excuse of ‘Oh, it’s a work in progress, don’t worry, it will look better.’” They did not elaborate on their split with Sony.

Thats great news if only to confirm that a title built with the PS4 in mind can run on Switch.

I know Rime isnt the most graphically intensive title, but still good news imho.

Are people actually excited for Mother 3, or is this some kind of remake? I fail to see how people are getting excited for the virtual release of a SNES game on their...9th? gen console. People have been able to play that shit on the go on their mobile phone, with updated graphics and UI controls for ages.

Man, ignore all that. I had to remind myself that Earthbound is Mother 2, not 3, and suddenly it all makes sense. Idk if I'd buy a new console for a GBA rerelease, but it's definitely not as bad as buying a new console to play SNES games.

That's actually pretty notable, because Soraya has a habit of retreating when stuff she's involved in is shown.

That said, it may be a little quick of a turnaround for monolith to show anything substantial other than a Xenoblade X Switch port. It may be because of their work on Zelda.

Did specs talk about its internet capabilities? I'm hoping theirs an ethernet port on the base with 5gh wifi. I wouldn't be opposed to a cellular card either.

Both the Wii and Wii U were wireless, with an optional USB adapter for an ethernet port. I'm expecting no different for Switch, especially with the form factor on that dock.

Yeah, Kirby is a little too easy especially one JUST came out.

They've confirmed a new standalone Mario already for launch. The rest of these titles (aside from Zelda) are still rumored at this point.

Also, a console release right before the weekend? Nintendo normally launches on Sundays.
