Yo some one get ratatapa in here so I can laugh at his reaction to these prices in Canadian.

Launch hype gone
Best Buy has pre-orders up. Tempted to scalp the shit outta these.
I'm gonna do it on Amazon. If it doesn't work then w/e.
I'm still in disbelief. Imagine if Zelda wasn't a launch title, what would they do? No fucking wonder Wii U owners had to wait for the game...and fuck them for making me wait because their new console has only 1 launch title otherwise.
Oh, mk8d comes out at the end of April. This shit is DOA.
Apparently that 1-2 Switch crap isn't even bundled with the console lol!
Since I have a WiiU I'm not super hype anymore. Zelda looks great but why buy a new system for it when I own a WiiU?
The controllers are $70 USD, lol.
Edit: And they showed off more controller colours than they did launch titles, lol.
My willingness to get this depends entirely on whether that SMT game and Octopath Traveler are exclusive. If they are, I'm 100% on board. If not, it's a hard pass and I'll pick up a refugee Wii U.
Final thought:
What a conference and all this told me Nintendo learned nothing from Wii U. Somehow I thought Nintendo had finally figured themselves out and what they needed to do bring fans back. After the price reveal and now that controller prices, and chargers, along with paid online for a service that will be nowhere near Sony or MS and lack of 3rd party support to back it up. This just feels like the evolution of Wii U along with it's over priced gimmick controller, but I'm glad I still have a Wii U now so I can still enjoy Zelda. Might as well wait at least 1-2 years before even considering buying the Switch.
Aside from reselling it, is there any reason to get NX on launch? Breath of Wild is coming out on Wii U as well, and I already have one of those...
No point in getting a 300 dollar console for a game to look slightly better, lol (when it's still gonna look worse than current gen shit and PC anyways for the 300 dollar upgrade)
Has there ever been any reason to get a console on launch? The only one I can think of is fanaticism.
Boy, I hope they don't intend on actually selling the damn thing in Canada with those prices.
Crazy Nintendo fans already going in defense mode, calling Horizon Zero Down shit when you have Zelda and 1, 2 Switch at Lunch....

I pre ordered one at Best Buy but now I am thinking why should I even get this? Tempted to cancel it and just pick it up on black Friday when it probably be $100 less, I can play Zelda on Wii U.
I always been a Nintendo fan but I found myself playing PC and PS4 mostly for gaming lately. All the stuff they announced that is so wrong makes me not want to get this at launch. From being expensive $300 and crazy prices on controllers $70 and $80, to paid online which will only be a few games with online when they launch this (Splatoon and MK8) both free on the Wii U and I have both of those already, to the announcement with their paid online sub you get free NES/SNES games that you can play for 1 month unlike PSN/Xbox live where you can play free games as long as you want.
I would pick it up at launch if it didn't cost $399 CDN, our dollar isn't so fucking bad that shit should cost 25% more then it does south of the border...
