Nintendo has remodeled every single console they've ever made, often 3-4 times; and I don't just mean different exteriors, I mean different chips, different parts, and often as well, different smaller re-designs.

NES had the 101 (Toploaded)
SNES had a redesign as well from 97-99
N64 and GC avoided redesigns.
Wii Mini (What Rata pictured above)
Wii U got nothing.

Without a wall of text of specifics, the original quote was discussing internal re-design. The ones you mention are only the visual re-designs, the NES and SNES both had about 5 revisions with different chips improving the quality, same for N64 and GC, the Wii had like 11 internal revisions, and the WiiU has had 1 revision.

To the original point, it's entirely feasible we could see "Switch Pro" models and such down the line, using Tegra X2, X3, X4 etc as those come into the market in the future. All the new console architectures including the switch have high degrees of "forward compatibility"

Depends, some of the chips did have more power but they didn't use them to increase performance, just run the systems cooler. GBA is the only one in the handheld series that didn't have an actual "power increase" (GB -> GBC), (DS -> DSi) (3DS -> New 3DS).

That's just in terms of raw performance, many of the internal re-designs introduced other things like significantly increased color capacity and other performance boosts that were not just +CPU.

The 2.5 hours of battery life in portable mode is hysterical for one of the main hype features of the console. You will get prolly 6 hours for any VC title and 2.5-3 hours of any current gen Switch title

I'm basically not even sure it's worth keeping my pre order just to resell the system for more on launch. It's sounded like, unless you don't have a WiiU, they should be paying people to take this console into their home

I've heard some speculation regarding Nintendo doing this to try to unify competition for JP and NA gamers. This would be a better competitor to the Vita in Japan (much more than the 3DS was) since Japan is such a mobile market right now, while still offering a home console option for NA where mobile is a joke.

they STILL dont have bluetooth support( which would have been a really good option for voice chat support) Nintendo is just so fucking stupid. They make good first party games, but it really would be better if they just stopped making hardware. tired of their shit. and we keep buying it.

This does have a USB-C like the Google Pixel, apparently USB-C does charge a lot faster than anything else.

Because he's exactly the demographic nintendo has leeched off of for the last decade to stay relevant. These are hardcore fanboys who completely ignore facts and support whatever nintendo direct garbage feeds them. Switch is bar none the worst console launch in history with the shittiest hardware specs yet people will still eat the shit sandwich and buy it.

The fact these retards already own a console that can play the biggest selling point of switch, and yet still contemplate buying it is proof enough.

Maybe around home, yes. But when I travel/on vacation, it's another story.

You could make the exact same argument for physical games and going out of print, though. The only copies that will ever exist are the ones already made.

That's not the same thing. I can still go buy a used physical copy of Dreamcast MVC2, but I can't buy a "used" digital copy of PS3 MVC2.

But, I also don't have any qualms at all about pirating games that are either unavailable for purchase (either no regional release or it was taken down from the store) or belong to defunct developers with shitty parent companies that you would prefer not further rewarding for killing off a good studio (a.k.a. the VTMB clause).

Pirating digital-only console games is a pretty significant investment beyond pirating PC games; you will usually need to buy another console at a minimum. That, or risk your console being locked out and/or your account being banned (and, ahem, loss of access to your digital games).
