Nintendo SWITCH(NX) Information - March 3, 2017

From what I understand, coming from a non fighting games person, this is more than just a SNES port of SF2 as some work has gone into it to provide balance changes, additional HD art, etc.

But what I also understand, its fairly similar to a XB Live game that sells for 14.99. Like how the Megaman Anniversary collection just released is only like MM1-6 but the old anniversary collection was EVERYTHING from the NES era.

tl;dr Yeah, Capcom being Capcom.

In more relevant news: Zelda and Switch have shipped! Huzzah!

It's HD Remix with 2 added characters (that are more then likely almost entirely reused art assets) with a price 4x what HD Remix generally sells for these days.

And since it's a competitive game on a Nintendo console not named Smash, no one will fucking have any desire to play it competitively and it will have zero support from players post launch.

It's actually a little bit more than that.

The game will have also have online multiplayer in arcade mode and they are bringing back Dramatic Mode from Street Fighter Alpha which they renamed Buddy Mode, where two players can team up against the CPU. I believe there is also a one hit knockout mode added to the game. Here is where it gets..well idk. There is a mode call "Way of the Hado" where you fight as Ryu in first person mode to try to take out as many Shadaloo Soldiers as you can. Input for the controls in this mode uses the two joycons and you have to perform the moves with the joycons to fight them off.

Absolutely none of that is worth a 40 dollar price tag for what is still at its core a game over 2 decades old

For the love of god someone talk me out of buying one at launch. I don't want it, I don't need it, and I've been doing nothing but talking shit about buying consoles at launch my entire life even after nearly a decade of running a GS.

I'm going to hit up my local BB at midnight to pick up my WiiU Zelda and SE(couldn't get that ME) and hoping for the poster. I'm just not sure I'm going to have the willpower to resist picking up the Switch lol

It has quite possibly the worst launch library in the history of ever with it's only killer app being a port available on another platform you already own.

Yeah I gave into the hype originally and ordered a switch, but best buy did me a huge favor and aren't shipping until friday and I've talked myself out of it for now, just gonna cancel and pick up zelda for wii u instead. Just not enough reason to own one at this point, and even if the wii u version runs a little bit worse there is always CEMU which will run better than the switch anyway.
