For me there's no point in buying a switch. I grabbed Zelda for the Wii U and don't care about it's portability. I drive everywhere and I'd be reprimanded on the spot if I were to pull that shit out at work.

I mean, the games argument can be said for almost any console.

The thing is is that all the Switch has is games. With PS4, XBone, & even Wii U they have media apps that allow it to be used for other forms of entertainment during the downtime of major or exciting releases. So the "has no games" issue is actually really pressing.

Really REALLY hoping SE finally localizes Dragon Warrior X for NA & puts it on the switch. A great, full fledged MMO, set in the DW universe and totally mobile. Sign me up.

I didn't even know the system didn't have media apps. That is embarrassing. And somehow, for whatever reason, isn't the network still using god damned Friend Codes?

How difficult can it be to implement a normal user name system? Wait, I know: not at all.

I think it's using both atm? Some one correct me please. The lack of media apps on your portasole is just unforgivable when your last console/failure currently has it. You can't expect me to replace your last console with this one if it doesn't have both games AND media functionality.

I don't think you are. I know lots of people who use their consoles to watch netflix, youtube, bbciplayer/channel4 etc. It's nice to be able to do that and switch to a game without much hassle.

I guess i'm opposite of the media app spectrum in that I don't give a fuck if the switch ever gets netflix/hulu/whatever, I have like 10 other devices all with that shit, I can just watch it on one of those while playing my switch in portable mode lol

You know, if this version of the game works with phones locally (instead of needing some form of internet access to Jackbox.tv), this would be pretty killer for on-the-go. Makes me curious if Switch can even act as a hot-spot for devices to connect to if a dev needed it.

Reggie released a statement about Netflix / YouTube / Hulu saying that they will arrive eventually, but they are not important to Nintendo at this time.

I'm guessing they'll be added around the time Nintendo debuts their sub service.
