So i got my Orzly tempered glass screen protector today. Not sure I can recommend it. It makes the switch fit super snug in the dock, so much that it kind of doesn't want to let it go when trying to undock (like I pick up the switch and the dock comes off the ground a little bit before the switch starts to slide out).
I've heard nothing but good things about the anfilm ones that are like 2 for 10 bucks on Amazon
Yepp I have one too. It's got a ton of reviews and 5 star hard to pass on.
This Lego city thing is confusing lol

In resume it seems the box print is an error and the full game is on the cart
Man I thought that was old news.
Smaller dev/publishers cant purchase as many SD cards in bulk so their purchase point for raw materials is a little higher so they pass that on.
It sucks for right now, yes, but will likely even itself out if/as demand for the switch increases or SD cards become a bit easier to produce.
Blaming this on Nintendo is silly.
Well the nintendo portion (From another video, but it was a much longer video that covered multiple topics, so I posted this one instead) would be that they're apparently forcing developers to charge the same price for digital games (where no production cost is required) so that they don't piss off walmart/retailers.
So you're stuck w/ the SD price even if you want to go digital
Maybe i'm just shielded from this because I generally buy physical anyways, but aren't almost all releases the same price regardless of digital/physical with the exclusion of some PC and steam titles?
Sure, because every company wants to rip you off equally
Well generally (at least anything multiplatform) they want to keep their prices consistent. If the other video is giving accurate info, let's say indie developer only charges more for the SD because it costs them more but wants to offer the digital version the same price across all consoles. Nintendo would block them from doing that, keeping the digital/physical copies consistent on their own platform instead (to appease retailers).
So while this would usually be up to the developer, Nintendo (again apparently) is forcing their digital pricing based on the physical pricing (rather than letting the devs make that choice for themselves)
I would be willing to bet that Nintendo is only doing this for smaller titles, and wouldn't attempt such an act with a larger developer.
But I also wonder, outside of the internet flashing the alert whistle, how many people on the large scale this honestly impacts vs a standard business practice that is just getting some bad PR right now.
I mean idk how many people only have switch.
But if there's a game cheaper for ps4, why wouldn't I get it on ps4?
I am perfectly fine with the switch's portability on 1st party games that I can't get on any other console, and leaving the multi console games to the console I can get them cheaper on.
I love the Switch's portability and same price I'll probably get games for it, but if it costs more fuck that.
Are you going off what "youre willing to bet", or are you going off whats going on now? Cause right now, Nintendy is taxing devs to use their proprietary carts on their shiney new not-so-large-an-install-base console. If you don't see the red flags from 1. charging more to print the game, 2. being unable to adjust price models accordingly to reflect costs, 3. moving away from an industry standard in order to accomplish both 1 and 2, then by all means buddy.
I'll see you in 3 years when we're complaining about the lack of 3rd party support for the 4th..5th...whatever, I can't be bothered to look up exactly how many times we've gone down this road with Nintendo.
Good thing this doesn't impact you then.
I must have missed the part where Nintendo is adding 10$ just to spite smaller developers and publishers instead of developers and publishers paying more because they only buy 20k blank cards instead of 200k.
People are making Nintendo out to be mean Mr. Capitalist here. I understand the disdain for some of their business practices, but this is such a far cry from that. Come on now.
Physical switch games aren't on SD cards, what are you talking about?
