Yeah I'd be quite happy.
Yeah I'd be quite happy.
After FF6 Advance and FF6 mobile, the only thing that would move the needle for me is some sort of 3D remake (a la FF4).
But to be fair, I've been using the pre-Stormblood time to finally go through FF6A - just finished Dragon's Den, at Soul Shrine now - and my FF6 appetite is pretty well-sated right now.
(first time seeing the FF6 ending in 20 years and the room got a little dusty)
There was an interview with Nomura a couple years back, and he spoke about how he and Kitase were interested in continuing their 3D remakes by doing FF5 and FF6.
It's totally possible they create Switch versions in the future, especially with the CEO of SE saying they're primarily focused on creating and porting content for the Switch.

FF TACTICS 3 PLEEEEASSSE
FFT has aged remarkably well. Just finished a run the other day and still had a blast. And as always, I made sure I absolutely obliterated that douchebag fuccboi Wiegraf. The mental anguish that fight inflicted on me as a child will never be forgiven. A new FFT game that doesn't absolutely suck and have little next to nothing in common with the original would be huge.
Might be in the minority, but i thoroughly enjoyed FFTA. I loved most everything about it, except the judges.
Of course they would. It would require absolutely zero effort to port since the Switch is effectively a glorified Android tablet.
I would say that SE is self aware enough to know that 6 is just behind 7 in terms of fanbase admiration.
If they respect that, thats another story entirely. But when push comes to shove they should understand that they can't do a new console remake of 6 and half ass it.
If 12 were to come out on switch too I might cancel pre-order. Option to play at work hnng.

I enjoyed FFTA and A2.
Except for Luso's dumb hat.
But Vaan's baller outfit was good.
Still has one of my favorite lines:
"C'mon, we're friends, aren't we?"
"When did we become friends, and when can we stop?"
Ffxi on switch.
