Feels like they are really trying to recreate the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie with Borderlands IP
Yah, some of the character choices make me think they were going "Okay who's our Rocket Racoon though? Lets get this Tina character in here".
The trailer had a few things that actually were a little positive for me. The guns used really do closely match the game, and the vehicles as well are near identical to the ones you get in BL2. Granted, you'd think "Matching the aesthetics of the game" would be bare minimum but shockingly few movie adaptions bother. Marcus looked great, and the split second we see of Grandma Tits I'm surprised they actually bothered with the make-up but it looked good.
That said, still having trouble accepting Grandma Lilith as the late-20 year old Badass from the first game, shes just DISTRACTINGLY older then the rest of the crew. Tanis from the few scenes we see her in doesn't feel or act like Tanis but this could be a "Pre nutjob" Tanis which did exist in BL1 as we saw through Voice logs. Tiny Tina's inclusion as I said above just feels like it was hitting a checkbox, or they tossed her in because some exec thinks teens won't go see a movie unless a teen is in it in a staring role.
Kevin Heart, surprisingly, didn't sound like Goofy McDoofus in every scene he was in, so maybe just maybe they've written him a bit tamer.
Still think its going to be a dumpsterfire but hey maybe it'll be a guilty pleasure dumpsterfire that gets juuuust enough Borderlands right to be worth a watch.
oh lord. this looks like miscast the movie. Nobody feels right in the roles
IDk I think Marcus looked spot on in the like, 1 second he was in that trailer LOL. Other than that, yup

yalls know who wrote and directed this verdad
you could have a dream cast, wouldn't matter, Eli Roth is one of the consistently worst talents in Hollywood and is gonna turn in another pile of horse shit. it's inescapable, immutable, it's a law of physics, is normal.
IDK who Eli Roth is or what movies hes wrote/directed by honestly your confidence in that statement leads me to believe you. Cope dead

Hey, Thanksgiving was actually pretty good
feels like it may also be the last
Is Jack in this? I saw a guy a couple times in the trailer who looked like he could be him but he had like...zero personality or anything that would resemble Jack.
No not Jack Black.
Handsome Jack.
