Legendary Warriors (Mobile)

This is a charming little game that popped up last week that surprisingly has very little talk going on anywhere (except maybe JP communities).

It's basically a marathon lane defense game; you field a team of 3 (from a roster of up to 9 and growing) against an enemy team of baddies, hit "go", and watch them fight. You can activate active skills after your guys give or take enough damage but otherwise don't have direct control. The gimmick is that HP and MP carry over between fights and you don't fully recover until you reach the next village.

It doesn't have amazing levels of depth, but there is enough room to play around with "strategy".

-Back attacking deals increased damage and makes hitting more likely so you can play with aggro by using your fragile archer to bait enemies in, taunt them with your tank, then sandwich them.

-Flying characters dodge ground characters most of the time.

-Characters might go for an opponent further back than the first enemy if aggro is secured, or something.

-Character that deals the last hit regains some HP.

-If your characters all die and you have backups available, the enemy group you were fighting retains their current HP when you lost (though if all of your chars get knocked out, you have to return to the previous town and start your trip over basically).

It does have some issues, like sort of long (~5-10s) load screens and like a lot of JP mobile games it is extremely stingy with Stamina (refills every 8 hours, get +3 every team-level, cap never seems to rise from 7). But it has a really charming art style and very chill music. It's not gonna keep you occupied all day, but it's worth a look and I don't think screens do it justice.
