Pokemon Go (Mobile July 2016)

For the benefit of anyone who didn't play Ingress:

Post offices, hospitals, landmarks, churches/playgrounds and "Welcome to _____" road signs are almost always tagged for waypoints/gyms/stops/whatever.

That said, I only got to play for about 45 seconds last night. Crashed when I caught my starter, then logging in would crash, then trying to put my name in gave me errors for a dozen tries, then server crashed, and I finally got my name around 11PM.

It's really easy and quick to do, I didn't even have to enter credit card info. Just a U.S. address and done

Yeah i know but when the app will need an update you'll have to always switch between IDs no?

And then when canada version releases if you want to send it to your real apple ID you'll need to start from scratch no?

I don't think you'll have to start over, in the app you sign up for an app account via a Google account. I think all your progress is tied to that and not the software on the phone itself.

If they don't add that shit then there is literally no point to the game.

Yeah but you can't battle friends, you can't even add friends. That's sort of really, really dumb.

Also not always a gym near you so the effective playtime of this game can be as low as like 5 minutes per day if you only pass something on your commute.

How do pokemons grow stronger
If I don't seem to have any gyms/Pokecenter near me, am I fucked about getting free items?
What does transfering the pokemon to the professor actually does?

Stardust is for leveling pokemon up. How you get it aside catching/leveling up I don't know.
Popkemon grow stronger buy the same means, I think the more you catch of a certain pokemon the more candy of that type you get?
You can only hold X amount of pokemon unless you buy bigger bags, so you gotta transfer some to the professor to free up space/duplicates, etc
And yeah, I live on a pokestop, if i didnt then it would suck. There are also a bunch of gyms right around me living in DTLA. I can see it being worthless if your in a very isolated place
