So I have a damn near perfect Eevee that I've been pumping full of dust and candies.

I was given a message that my trainer level was to low to continue leveling it (was 16 at the time.) Once I hit 17 I got the same message that I was still to low...

Will I keep getting that message until I hit 40? More so... If I were to evolve it now as compared to waiting till level 20 or 25 would I still be able to hit the same CP cap?

Each level you can power it up further normally. So you may only be able to power it up once or twice each level from now on.

You might as well evolve it now and wait to power it up. Change its name to Rainer, wait like 10 minutes, then evolve it. After that, power it up at your leisure.

So no matter what level I originally caught it at it will always grow to it's max potential CP (per the IV calculator) as I continue to level up?

Looks like I'm adding a Vaporeon to my Pokedex \:D/

Its IVs stay the same so whatever IV perfection % it is now it will stay that way through power ups and evolution.

It's hard to estimate, really. It's based on how good you can eyeball its place on the CP slider. The new rating is probably more correct.

i evo'd the eevee to a jolt , its sitting at 1100 atm. and just hatched a 1736 cp snorlax thats 82.2% 12-14-11

It seems www.pokeadvisor.com uses data from the game instead of making educated guesses like the other IV sites. So I'd suggest using that. I used an authentication key instead of entering my google info.

Edit: This makes looking up IV's so much eaiser! Time to Purge everything 90% and below! Maybe just keep 1 of each to show off to my little cousins
