I've met a few people that are catching pokemon. Just saw a dude run out into traffic to grab one.
Is he fucking retarded?
This is really going to bring out the socially idiotic. I'm happy for society.
Saw a 258 wild koffing, my first pokeball failed, then it fled immidiately, feelsbadman.
Walked almost 2km, and only ran into two Pidgey, but there were 9 total pokemon within three paw distanc; every grass leaf I walked by had zero in it too.. The problem is that only those two ever got closer, and I was walking in a large circle. It's either inaccurate as hell, or the range is way to fucking far to know where to go.
What it should be doing is taking your area into account, and showing you what you might run into, and as time goes on, increase the chances of finding any of the pokemon, and then set them to a specific GPS spot next to you to spawn them. That way, no matter where you walk, you'll run into things and have a chance to run into rarer pokemon too. If pokemon really are set to specific GPS locations, regardless of your location, then this is really shitty; server issues non-withstanding.
How do you do special attacks in a battle? All I could figure out is to dodge and tap like crazy to do a regular attack.
No idea, I just spam attack.
Found this on a random website, dunno how legit it is
To use a Pokemon's second move, you must press and hold on the Pokemon during a battle. The screen will "shrink" and gain a letterbox effect, and the Pokemon will use its second attack.
However, the second attack can only be used when it's "charged" by using regular attacks repeatedly. During a Gym battle, you can see how charged the attack is by looking at the blue bars.
As you can see by the screenshot in the question, there are two bars. This represents that you can use the second attack twice, provided both bars are charged.
After depleting the bars by using the second attack, you may re-charge them to re-enable the second attack.
Where's the screen shot?
?
Has the server been dead for the past hour for anybody else? Wonder if its area specific
Yes.
So I am 100% convinced that every person walking around with there cellphone out today is trying to catch pokemon. I have not seen any young kids trying to catch them, only college age to mid 40s.
can confirm, it was doing Dig on my Nidoran by tapping and holding the screen.
Pokemon's original fan age range is probably 20s and 30s now so.
Koffing confirmed in club 939 in Honolulu/Waikiki.... that's a strip club. Pardon me while I go laugh until I die
