I feel like spawns have decreased DRASTICALLY around my area. I used to be able to walk a couple blocks in any direction and have shit spawn every bit. Now, that walk. I'm lucky if I get a zubat.

Think so too, the other day before the patch. I was walking around a remote desolate near nothing area of Japan (both in terms of irl and in game) and was catching pokemons every min or so.

1 Gym... in the ENTIRE area... with near no pokestops... but their are birds and rats everywhere on pokemon haha

Ended up in New York today and Jesus Christ the advantage they get there is ridiculous. Unlimited balls, silly amounts of experience from constant stops and endlessly popping mobs.

I went to Central Park and there's a spot with 4 overlapping stops which obviously have lures on constantly and you don't even have to move. Then there's 3 more stops if I walk like 100 ft. It's crazy. In 30 mins there my pokedex went from 70 to 84.

Also pretty tired of the egg hatching distance being so off. Friends watch said we walked 7.5 miles. Only registered 1.1km on eggs

Would not be surprised if someone got murdered or other things. Only saw a fire station in the area, no police at all anywhere to be seen, especially up in the mountain area (almsot up into the clouds) O_o

Good thing is.. theirs cellphone towers up there, bad thing is... no rare pokemons, jsut a crapload of birds.



Going COmiket tomorrow, going to see if I find any interesting pokemons in the area... or in interesting... "places" you could say... O_o

I was thinking. Pokevision was using software to look into api of pogo and find pokemon. We were using pokevision to ping the servers for us. Niantic obviously saw the millions of pings from same ip address and were able to stop many tracking sites.

What if we had the software locally and were able to ping from our own ip address? Could it work and not wave any red flags?

Yes, in theory you could get Pokevision's code and just host it locally. In practice, Pokevision won't open-source their shit because they were making money off ads.

1. Is there a point to powering up a pokemon if you're just going to evolve it? Should you power it up, then evolve, or just evolve and then power up?

2. What specifically do rasberries and great balls do? Just a straight "+X% chance to catch"?

Not all of them. Maybe 7 or so, with a couple Snorlax and the like mixed in.

1. Is there a point to powering up a pokemon if you're just going to evolve it? Should you power it up, then evolve, or just evolve and then power up?

2. What specifically do rasberries and great balls do? Just a straight "+X% chance to catch"?

Doesnt matter if you power up before or after evolution. They end up at the same strength at the end.

Rasberries and the stronger balls give you a better catch chance. No one knows exactly what that chance is but they say it helps.. somehow.

Evolve before powering up in case you get a shit moveset on the final form.

Is there an IV checker that you can check all your Pokemon at once? (I'm really leery about using one where I have to actually give my account information. Is it really safe? I don't have the trainer account, I use Google.)

I'm trying to actually care about IVs and better my team. I don't really have anything very good at the moment. Thankfully my two Vaporeons aren't too bad. I had a slew of Eevees and checked all their stats and most of them were junk. Sent all but two away. The two I kept were 90% and 8x%. Hoping to get better than that, but keeping the highest ones for now. I want to check every mon I have and put their % in the name and slowly weed out the crap.

Going to head to a Vulpix nest today as we(I play, boyfriend doesn't.. but he'll tag along for the walk/sights) finally have off from work. Having one day off a week really sucks. I've been wanting to hit some nests for several weeks now.
