Mostly interested in it to see if people announce spawns. If I'm walking around I'd love to know if say a Gyardos spawns where I just was at, but just out of range of my radar.

That and sometimes my horrible social anxiety keeps me back from being chatty. It's ridiculous how I can sometimes, then out of nowhere this overwhelming fear strikes and the anxiety kicks in and I start to panic.

Niantic has just completely blown all it's goodwill and the crest of their popularity. It's been 3 months, the game is dying off and having no functioning tracker for at least another half a month is just inexcusable. Who really wants this overpriced wristband for a game that doesn't work?

I don't know how many people jailbreak or root their device, but I do. So this sucks. It will probably only be a minority of the players who will affect this, but cheaters will find new methods to spoof and whatever anyway. Hell some even work without root. So what's the use of blocking every rooted device?

If blocking rooted devices isn't against the Play Store terms of service, I'll be pretty surprised.

There's quite a few apps that don't allow, it's been a thing with more then a few SE games though it's primarily something you see in apps related to security or finance

Huh. I thought Play Store apps weren't allowed to request root access (so they can't tell if you're rooted or not just by the request). Today I learned.

They absolutely can, it's just not something that shows up on the list of permissions when you see it in the store.

Quite a few root specific apps have been on their for years, like the various file browsers, data backup, or what have yous

Yeah but I didn't think those explicitly requested root access, they just assume you're rooted and fail if you aren't.

It's already out on most Android phones, I was able to update via playstore Fri and had to manually find the update for my roommates Samsung as hers wasn't showing up.
