May be nice if you live near a bunch of stops but if you're rural your Sightings are going to be blank 90% of the time. It's basically the current Sightings system, limited to the area around pokestops. If I can't open the app and see what's around my house, I'm just not going to open the app.
I didn't realize that. Wow. So I'm basically fucked unless I drive an hour to Omaha or Lincoln because Nebraska City only really has one street full of stops with a few elsewhere. It's not a solution, though. Both areas still have "dead zones" for stops.
I noticed the footsteps on them was inaccurate. I saw a Pikachu by the park stop that showed 3 steps. He was right next to it.
Finally caught my Ditto, transformed from a Pidgey.
Also, the new tracking system, are they slowly rolling that feature out? I am still on the old system.
We just got the new tracking here in Nebraska right before Thanksgiving. Seems like it's moving East.
New "tracker" has been rolled out to pretty much everyone now. Guess I'm done opening the app on a regular basis until they revert it or otherwise un-fuck it.
If you live in range of a bunch of stops it's probably not awful. If you don't, you'll never see anything. Even when you are near half your list ends up being Ratattas or Pidgeys because it doesn't filter duplicates.
Hate the tracker. The nearby ONLY shows pokestop mons now. If there is a Snorlax near you but you're within vision range of any pokestops it won't show that Snorlax on nearby, just what is by the stops. If it is within range of a stop it will, but not otherwise. Meaning you could be passing by really good Pokemon at any given time, but if they aren't near a stop you would have no idea unless you by complete chance stumbled upon them. If you aren't near (within view) of any stops, radar is completely blank even though there are pokemon around you.
The original tracker didn't, but Sightings do, and whether it used to or not it needs to because I've seen rare things get bumped by evolution fodder and the areas I go aren't even densely populated with stops.
They also fixed a "bug" today that reduced your Sightings range to 50m instead of the ~200 it was originally. So as long as there's no Pokestop on your map you can see stuff around you again. But if there's a stop anywhere near you (like, if you can see it in game at all) all you'll see is the Nearby tracker. So it's slightly better than it was but there's still a ton of room for improvement.

Don't care about Starbucks. I hate coffee. New Pokemon though would be nice. If it's Gen2 awesome. If it's the legendaries for Gen1, still pretty cool. Here's to seeing if it actually happens.
They finally added mass transfer, thank god.
Oh. That's it? Kaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy. Kinda let down. But hey. Egg stuff.
Pichu... Togepi... a "few select others"... meh. And through eggs only right nowNot going to get me out any more than I've barely been now.
