Pokemon Go (Mobile July 2016)

What? Just turn on battery saver mode, it'll dim the screen to near off when it detects it's in a pocket or down. Then just set your phone to never turn off, or turn off after 5-10min, and you're set. You don't go that long with out checking for pokemon any ways.

Maybe it's just my phone but battery saver does absolutely nothing for my LGV10. Turning it upside down, pocket, letting it sit, etc, and it just does its standard dim the screen after x amount of time. Doesn't even dim it or anything if I set the screen to not turn off. I've taken to just turning my brightness all the way down, but that still doesn't really reduce the hassle. I'm still walking around with my phone on, potentially hitting buttons, exiting the app, etc.

Anyway, un-Canada'd myself on itunes and downloaded the app. Found out my work is actually a gym and conveniently Vancouver has an assload of pokestops and gyms and etc which might be why I'm addicted after 1 day lol. On the verge of level 6, got an egg in an incubator, and got about 16 different types of pokemon :3

Idk if it's been mentioned but Nintendo missed an amazing opportunity to partner with small businesses and have them pay to be pokestops, gyms or even spawn rare Pokemon at or inside their locations. I can't be the only one thinking this can I?

I only have WiFi at my apartment in Nice and am only level 3 with about 9-10 pokemon all very low cp. Thinking about restarting my account just for a Pikachu lol.

Went to the beach yesterday and there were Pokestops and gyms EVERYWHERE. Surprisingly didn't see a lot of water types but I caught a couple dozen Pokemon. I was relentlessly mocked by my buddies but saw probably a dozen people playing it too.

I hope they fix some of the bugs; I had the game glitch out on trying to catch Pokemon three different times(once was a 200ish CP Tentacruel ;_ where I tossed a Pokeball and it froze midair and the Pokemon kept attacking, defending, etc but the ball was frozen in air and I couldn't do anything but force close the app.

I also tried buying(Jesus H. Christ what is wrong with me?!?) 100 coins so I could grab one of the incense modules to help out a friend who just started while we were having dinner and it literally took an hour and a half for the coins to show up in game.

Are Pikachu common? I have two Gmail accounts so I started a second game to start with Pikachu, but I'm only level 3 with 10 pokemon on the other account not sure which is better to keep. I like the username on the level 3 account more too.

I saw something just like this in Houston, TX yesterday afternoon. 3 locations, all bars or coffee shops, all of them had the lure modules up and there were 2 gyms nearby. Sadly, I was at another location nearby for a wedding reception dinner. Luckily, the place was a Pokestop so I stocked up on a ton of Pokeballs, Potions, Revives, and got several eggs. One of which resulted in a Clefairy (2km egg)

Got on yesterday because some friends were playing and I was interested in the concept (I wasn't aware of the previous game this was based on). Drove by a cemetery ore to town that was full of stops. Was kinda weird also had a gym.

I saw something just like this in Houston, TX yesterday afternoon. 3 locations, all bars or coffee shops, all of them had the lure modules up and there were 2 gyms nearby. Sadly, I was at another location nearby for a wedding reception dinner. Luckily, the place was a Pokestop so I stocked up on a ton of Pokeballs, Potions, Revives, and got several eggs. One of which resulted in a Clefairy (2km egg)

Yeah there was a location like that for me today. New McDonald's has been built but the old one used to have murals on the outside walls. So now the new one has 3 Pokestops over this 1 McDonald's. It pretty much has permanent lures down for all 3. I stayed for an hour and went from trainer level 9 > 13 using 2 lucky eggs but didn't catch anything interesting, just the same common stuff as everywhere.

I'm amazed more stores aren't using it as a marketing ploy

There's some places here in Houston that are Pokestops and I'm like "yeah, that's a no-brainer", but then there's other places here in town that should absolutely be a Pokestop and it isn't and I'm like WTF why is this not a Pokestop? I'm referring to the big light rail station right down the street from me. The nearest Pokestop is 3 blocks away (a church) with the next nearest one 5 blocks away in the other direction (also a church). None of the bars/pubs in my neighborhood are Pokestops.

In my experience, if you see grass/leaves flying in a spot, and if you are using an Incense it will pop out a random Pokemon that doesn't show up in your "Nearby" list. I did this a couple days ago on a hunch and got a Butterfree, a Scyther, and a Bulbasaur. It doesn't seem to be 100% though, it just increases the chance of something popping out from that spot.

Had a Blastoise in my nearby list earlier with 3 footprints. Drove around in every direction before heading home - he would disappear then randomly reappear, but never got closer than 3 steps.

Where? I was in midtown earlier and saw two pokestops next to each other with lures, near the 24 hour fitness on Elgin
