Is there a cap on CP on a per species basis?

Like, I evolved a Pidgey (caught at 80 something CP) and the Pidgeot is only like 450 CP. But I saw a gym leader have a Pidgeot at around 600 CP.

I know trainer level increases the range of catching a poke with higher CP, but does the max value it caps at change as well?

Maybe I'm not being clear or we're describing the same effect in 2 different ways.

The sliding CP indicator on my Pidgeot is maxed out. When I increase in trainer level, will that bar's max value increase as well?

I understand that catching said Pidgey at trainer level 1 will give me ~10 CP Pidgeys while catching one at trainer level 7 will give be ~80 CP Pidgeys.

So.... I'm totally going to hell.

There was a spot near my job with tons of Pokestops in a very small area. I figured it was a shopping center. So during lunch, I drive over... And it's a fucking cemetery. Literally 15-20 Pokestops and 1 gym within the cemetery gates.

So I did what any decent human being would have done. I parked, popped a lucky egg, and got busy. Sad thing is, I wasn't the only person there playing! I saw at least 3 other people on their phones, swiping at the screen the whole time. We all tried to avoid that guilty eye contact. People were walking around the fountain, through the tombstones, near the columbarium walls.

Ok I hope Pikachus aren't all that rare, think im going to move on from the account that has the Pikachu starter and main my charmander one.

Since I'm on vacation I only have WiFi/data when in my room so it's hard to play. Only got to walk around once with signal and was surprised to get like 8 pokemon on the level 6 account.

Oh yeah, since you can't really get water pokemon in Downtown LA, I decided to walk a mile to McArthur park that has a large pool in it on google map. There were like 50 other people playing Pokemon GO there all trying to do the same thing I was rofl. Literally lures at all the stops around the water.

I caught a Staryu and a Horsea, need to go back to catch more since catching only one or two is worthless aside for gotta catch em all sake.

I need to try Echo Park this week as that should be a legit water spot.

Inventory shit is real. Even with buying 2 inventory expansions its brutal and im tossing stuff left and right. Doesn't help you start to get master balls, etc... as you get higher

For me, it seems only rare pokemon pop when the server shits the bed.

I've noticed that a lot of rare and uncommon pop at this eating disorder clinic across the street from my work. Got a Horsea from there this morning.

Horseas have been fairly common for me.

The Commons for my work and home are Pidgey, Sparrow, Weedle, Zubat, Rat, and catapi (?)

I mean yeah if we're going by tiers those are the easiest. I have some water near me though so Horseas have been fairly regular there.
