thirded; when I leave my apartment I have to wait a while before booting up Pokémon. it handles the transition from wifi to 4g very poorly, and generally I have to shut the game down and reboot before it works.

in other news the geodude who hangs out by my workplace showed up again today. I've seen some people say these guys are supposed to be somewhat difficult to find? if so I guess I'm blessed... he keeps popping, about once per day.

there's also an eevee one footprint away from my desk... so tempted to go take a "bathroom break" aka hunt him down lol

level 7, my best so far is a 298 Tauros. I feel good about that.

Anyone know if the XL or XS next to the pokemons weight determines how much HP they have? Or... if it does anything for that mater?

Friend beat a gym today and scrambled to put a pokemon there because wifi/4g switch. Ended up putting a weak one there. Somebody else beat it and I ninja'd my pokemon onto it and claimed my 10 coins. Pretty good deal for a level 7.

with this knowledge I found a Bulbasaur breeding ground and a Gastly & Shellder that have been eluding me. Finished off some nice eggs, too. 142 Magnemite & 167 Meowth from 5K's and a 263 Charmander from a 2k.

Had my first dose of public PGo fever. Was at a plaza in Olympic village in Vancouver and there were 3 stops all with lures constantly and about 50~60 people at least all with their phones out lol. Tossed on my lucky egg, helped with a lure of my own and power leveled from 9 to 10 and halfway to 11. Was pretty neat.

This in a country the game isn't even released in yet lol

Went out to eat with friends, restaraunt had a stop on it. Set up 3 lures, ended up getting $12 off our bill for it + caught a bulbasaur, venomoth, taurus, pinsir, few eevees, other things i dont remember, loads of balls.. pretty good night.

At work today we ended up having to kill like 40 minutes waiting for a boat to pull in so we could work on it, drove our GV to a nearby corner that had 2 stops on it and dropped a pair of lures. Was pretty entertaining seeing all the kinds of people that came by, including some little kid dressed up as Ash being followed around by (what I assume was) his dad who was filming the whole thing.

I'm currently in a city with ~50k people and went downtown to hang out with some friends and grab dinner. I saw well over 100 people walking around playing Pokemon Go. I never in a million years thought after nearly two decades such a wide swatch of people would be playing Pokemon. This shit is insane.

Fourthed. I had to turn off attwifi walking across Manhattan. The constant switching was fucking me up.

Went to the local college after work with some friends (4 gyms and 20+ stops). Holy shit I can tell there isn't anything to do in this town. Well over 200+ people wandering around campus at 9:30 at night. Missed out by seconds on a Snorlax and a Pikachu. Some old dude was was holding one gym for Instinc for like 45 min before he gave up to the forces of Mystic.
