So the green ping indicating direction of the nearby Pokemon is complete BS right? Because I can't get it to work for shit.

Ya it just indicates the Pokemon list updating or something.
To get it to work properly, you need to actually turn your body til it gives off the green flash. If you just turn the direction with the touch bad it's hit or miss. I kind of wish it was like Ingress where your fov would change depending on where your phone is facing, but it can also be annoying.
At level 10 my highest CP pokemon is a Raticate with 351CP. I've made more or less zero effort in getting a decent pokemon yet and am just focusing on trying to break level 15+ at this point. The area near my work has Charmanders (and I hope Charmeleons when I get high enough). I would like nothing more than to hit like level 20 and bust out a 1.5k+ CP Charizard and fuck up the gym beside my apartment lol
Edit: Also adding in that my game just completely freezes up when I jump between Wifi and LTE. Super tedious when I'm just walking around trying to get some distance for my eggs. Also, my fucking supermarket doesn't register in the game either. Thought I could get like half a K by simply doing my groceries but for whatever reason the game map doesn't have the store there and my character just stays stationary at where the entrance roughly is.
The GPS is embarrassingly bad and that's the biggest problem with using the directional walk to track down Pokemon. Getting your character to walk in a straight line is literally impossible
How do you favorite Pokemon?
In the pokemon page, click the pokemon. Theres a star at the top right.
Why do some pokemons have a blue tinge behind them on the roster?
The last game update let me use PoGo on my intel chipped phone (google play store will still tell you it's impossible however), and the server was A+ for us with not a single drop the entire day, so bf and I went down to the Vegas Strip tonight to see if we could get some water Pokes from around Treasure Island. Sure enough, I saw a Staryu (escaped), Krabby (silhouette only), Tentacool (silhouette only) and Goldeen there. So if you're in the Vegas area and looking for water pokemon, Treasure Island is a good place to search. Helpful because all the gyms are generally held by Fire pokes, which is what you see a LOT of around here - most of the gyms I've seen in Vegas are held by a combo of Arcanine (far and away the most common), Vaporeon, Snorlax and Pidgeots.
Of course, Lures were on almost all of the pokestops. Many of the gyms on the strip were held by one specific group of Valor players at one point. We tried to knock them out but to no avail. Either they were GPS hacking to take over the gyms or they just moved really fast from one to the next. They had a pretty strong team.
Hmm. Is this confirmed how the game actually works? I mean do specific mobs correlate to specific locations, or is it just always changing?
In my apartment there is the usual pidgeys, rattatas, weedles. Then there is usually one more "exotic" pokemon 3 steps away and the specific type varies greatly. In fact it seems to be different constantly. So I'm skeptical if it's as simple as saying this type spawns here. Maybe there could be a more likely % in specific areas or something at least.
fuuuuuuuuck. venasaur was on nearby list, but I don't get enough of a cell phone reception out here to get him =/
Fucking airport has JUST ENOUGH of WiFi for tapatalk but not for pokemon. There is a weak ass gym here I wanna hit.
I have a long layover in Copenhagen this shit better be good there.
Got to Vegas a bit early, since most of my friends aren't getting here till tomorrow and not much EVO stuff going down yet, I decided to pick this up and wander around for a bit.
Random stuff I found wandering all over Westgate:
- 125 CP Venonat
- 119 Rhyhorn
- 19 Graveler (lol)
- 386 Golbat
- 223 Arbok
- 39 Chansey
Fucking Bulbasaur froze on me twice this morning when he was in the ball. Third time I circled the block to get him he was gone. He's the only starter I haven't gotten yet.
Best thing is too hunt for gym before the daily reset lol, got 4 gyms this morning thanks to that
But i'm still stuck with Pidgeys/spearow/Caterpie/Weedle/rattata pops
Other pokemon mostly comes from eggs lol
This layover is gonna rock
