I just got a medal for "Capture 3 Rattata", wtf I've caught like 50 Rattata over the last week and it just now gives me a medal and says I've only caught three.

Also, Center Island was a partial bust =( I use a shitty cell provider in Canada ( Wind Mobile ), so I didn't get any connection, let alone data, the entire time. Did get like 5-6 new Pokemon along the way purely because I was carpooling though. I have like 100 pokemon with 3-400 combined Candies to use tonight to upgrade / level though at least, so not a complete loss.

Name your Eevee either Pyro, Sparky or Rainer to get Flareon, Jolteon or Vaporeon respectively.

Some of these guys are fucking nuts. Nearby gym is held by a dude at level 31 with a 2.8k gyarados. How in the hell? I haven't even broken level 10 yet.

depends on where you are I guess? Fire/Water/Electric are all strong offensive typings and water/electric are strong defensively as well (few weaknesses). Unless you have an Electabuzz or maybe Magneton/Electrode, there aren't many other strong Electric options. For water you also have Golduck/Lapras/Slowbro etc. which I see fairly commonly. Fire has been fairly rare in my experience too, although I have started seeing more Arcanines and Rapidashes. Will probably be more Ninetales showing up eventually.

tl;dr - choose based on what you need to beat in your area and what types you already have covered in your squad. none of them are signicantly worse than the other
