Pokemon Go (Mobile July 2016)

Ended up having off tonight, work got canceled. So my boyfriend and I went to Lincoln to eat. Caught a Squirtle on the table at Roadhouse, lol.

After that we went over to Sunken Gardens (this was around 10PM). I ended up crossing the street to the little zoo park area where there were three stops with lures on it. The gym there was under constant battle/switching teams. I actually put my Vaporeon in it after one of the Mystic guys there took it. Helped defend it a bit, but it eventually overtaken and then once more by a 1200ish Hypno. There were atleast 10 people there at first. Some would go and more would come. Ended up sticking around chatting with a couple while my lure was going. Noticed my Doctor Who shirt, then eventually switched to 'mon stuff. He mentioned a whole bunch of "hot spots" but not being native Nebraskan.. I can't remember a damn place he mentioned.

Didn't catch anything special. Although a Horsea did pop up that we all nabbed. Mostly the usual Pidgey, Ratatta, Weedle. Occasional Venonat, Bellsprout, Spearow.

We then ran over to the campus and I caught a Staryu in the middle of the street. Saw shadows for Hypno, Fearow, Goldeen, and a few others I can't remember.

Overall I am loving this so far. I'm not a very social person, but I really like how people are getting out in droves and just chatting and having a good time. I imagine the new and shiney appeal will wear off eventually, like with most games, but for now it's working.

Went to a local park tonight, again hundreds of people there catching pokemon. One older guy was trying to explain what PoGo is to someone he was on the phone with ("there are all these memorials to dead people in the park, and every one of them is what they call a pokestop..."), one guy who I assume often brings his kid to the park late at night was openly marveling at the number of people that were out and about at the park at 10pm. Also saw a nice kid pushing another kid's wheelchair while he was busy catching pokemon on his phone, and it occurred to me how awesome an activity this must be for disabled kids like that to get them out and about. It's also amazing the demographics this is bringing in. Not only are small kids and teens all playing, but moms with kids who aren't even old enough to hold a phone, buff older guys who look like they would have picked on people for playing Pokemon if it had even been around when they were in high school, just every kind of person all with their phones out in the park at 10pm.

We sat in a pavilion that was also a gym, with a bunch of other people all trying to take the gym. It changed hands every few seconds for a while, reps for every team were there lol. The only thing I'm disappointed about is my area lacks a lot of rare Pokemon. I see almost no grass/water Pokes and it's very rare that I see something I don't have a billion of already, but I guess the hunt is part of what makes the game so fun. If I saw a rare pokemon every day it would get old quicker than it is, and we have been visiting each park around us trying to see if any have rare Pokemon :D

What items to people suggest to buy with the pokedollars? (I get max like 10-30 per day) from gyms I have like 110 atm

The only thing I'm disappointed about is my area lacks a lot of rare Pokemon. I see almost no grass/water Pokes and it's very rare that I see something I don't have a billion of already, but I guess the hunt is part of what makes the game so fun. If I saw a rare pokemon every day it would get old quicker than it is, and we have been visiting each park around us trying to see if any have rare Pokemon :D

Just wait until they have all 750(?) in and then the additional ones from Sun/Moon generation eventually. It'll take awhile to collect them all, I'm sure.

Lucky Eggs and Incenses. The occasionaly bag increase when you need it, obviously.

Apparently they are at 721 right now. I don't know if I can be arsed for that tbh. I couldn't be arsed for the normal games either halfway into Silver on the GBC and for those games I didn't even have to leave my couch to catch them all. Pokemon Red I played to death and that's about the only reason I am playing this: a shot at a revival of the old dreamteam. Which is a pain in the ass in this game with the bullshit species specific candy and Legendaries locked behind Niantic's red button, but oh well.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to stir shit up outside of poopdeck, but what city do you live in? There's not a single person of colour in any of your pics lol. I found it kind of amusing, black people too busy rallying for BLM stuff, white people too busy catching em' all.

Thousands of people for a Vaporeon. I can't imagine the insanity if they did something like that with some legendary Pokemon

I personally would only buy Egg Incubators. Maybe lucky eggs if you are into power leveling, but egg incubators are hands down what I spend the most coins on. Try to have 9 eggs going at any given time.

I bought some and bought a few bag upgrades since I was capped out and didnt want to throw away much. I still don't have access to great balls so I will definitely need more space.

Kinda frustrating though. I am lvl 11 and I keep seeing and losing 290+ cp pokemon because pokeballs are too weak. And I dont have access to great balls yet. I only have one eevee and lost one earlier.

Got a Ponyta with fire blast 60 dmg from 10k egg. Wish it was growlithe but w/e.

Also, I went to catch a rattata, game froze at pokeball. Closed game out, opened back up to see if I caught it and I had a scyther in my box. literally LOL because I have never even seen a scyther.

Michael "Venom" Page and Cyborg Santos faced off at Bellator 158, but after watching this clip, Page’s main focus may not have been the fight itself. As grimacing as the flying knee was that ended their fight, Page’s post-fight celebration might have hurt more.

Page didn’t even wait to see his opponent get up. He immediately rushed back to his corner to get a few props — a damn Pokemon trainer hat and a pokeball. He put the hat on, showed the pokeball to the audience and then gently rolled it to Santos. Gotta catch ‘em all, right?

Not even work can get in the way of the Pokemon Go craze.

But seriously, this has to be one of the most disrespectful celebrations in recorded history. Most disses are traditionally accepted as such; you know that someone stepping over you is almost universally considered to be done out of ill will, but going out of the way to be both cold-blooded and viral with something completely new? Now that’s some next level ingenuity.

So, I'm seeing Pokemon go on the Canadian App store(I was/am too stupid to figure out how to get it the other way and waited) and I'm wondering is it legit out? I've been watching the App store for the last week and there have been so many fakes.

Officially burnt out and don't see myself going back unless there are huge changes to the battle/gym system to make it more interesting. Without that, there is no point beyond collect things for the sake of collecting.

It is but I've seen some with similar names. Like Naintic. Inc, or similar. People have really been trying to make money off of fakes.
