Basically seems to spawn a pokemon on top of you every ~5 min

Apparently it's one pokemon every 5min, or every 1min/200m walked.

So it's best to walk/bike with an incense up.

Also I don't know if any of you guys are checking out the reddit for this game but some guy already hit level 30 and says it takes 500k for level 31, grind gets real.

There are a few people around mid-20s near my apartment that fight over the gyms. I'm still 13; I'm building up my evolves and lucky eggs for one big push. Think I have about 5 levels worth of evolves at this point plus exp bonus from new pokemon I guess?

When doing battles? Is there any point in trying to dodge? should you just spam attacks?

I seem to get hit anyway, unless my timing is just bad

You can dodge every attack provided the servers are running smoothly, and as such can take down entire gyms with weaker pokemon so long as you can beat the clock. Watch for the edges of the screen to flash yellow, then dodge. Opponents will also always open with 2 attacks immediately.

That makes me insanely happy for finding a Squirtle within an hour of starting the game.(Bulbasaur was my starter cause hes the best).

Apparently I got high on sleeping pills last night and spent 2 hours trying to figure out where a Gengar was. Now that I know the little paws are broken, I'm annoyed.
