I feel ya, went through 11 poke balls on a raticate just for it to escape, followed by a poliwag that ate 5 great balls before escaping. Used a razz berry on them all, and got great or nice on all except like 3 of the throws.

Idk if there's something with the catch algorithm or I was just incredibly unlucky. On eggs though, I don't mind 2k pidgeys and ratatas, they pop out with enough candy for an evolution usually.

Can NA get the region specific Pokemon from eggs? Like Mr. Mime (Europe), Farfetch'd (Asia), and Kangaskhan (Australia)?

I'm impressed you get to 3 or 4... like 9/10 every single Pokemon i try to capture goes like this >

Doesnt matter its CP or type it just gets right the fuck off after I miss one catch, its driving me to Salt Lake city

Getting a Ratata, Pidgey, Weedle, or Caterpie from a 2km egg is so depressing. I still get excited when eggs are hatching, just for those to pop out.

Is anyone close to a Charizard, Venasaur, or Blastoise?

Home towns small but im starting to find places in dallas about a 30min drive that im getting much better luck sitting at 71 in the pokedex pokevision is really helping especally since the foot prints dont work

So I wanted to discuss the Pokevision site more. I used it today and it's a spectacular help, caught a Lapras and Wartortle using it. However I noticed a few things that make me think the site doesn't show ALL spawns 100% accurately. I passed by a spot that had a Weezing on the radar, brought the site up to find it and it wasn't there (also possible it despawned by that time). In another instance a Lickitung showed up on both my and my brother's radar then we found it, but the Pokevision site didn't show it (and we had been scanning for the last 5 minutes). Also it might just be a coincidence but I have been scanning my city all over the place and have yet to find a Dragonite show up anyplace (even in places where people have reported finding them).

So have you guys had similar experiences?

pokevision sucks in my town....it only scans like 150-200 ft from me and all i ever see are weedles and pidgeys

I should really use it... but I know It'll prove too useful and I'll feel like I'm cheating cause I am a dirty cheater.

I really hope they add something like in the Trailer... an actual meter counter and maybe a directional pointer, that'd be great. until then Third party tools \o/?

Pokevision found a vaporeon down the way from me.

It works well, when using on phone its a bit sketchy sometime.

The most frustrating thing is when I see pokemon nearby in game, but nothing on pokevision. Game is so GD buggy.

Had my first encounter with forced-curveballs today. That is some unmitigated baby back bullshit. Only reason for it to exist is to waste pokeballs so you'll buy more. What a scam.

Yah, its absolutely annoying and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and assumes its a glitch they'll fix because of you know, the entire game being a glitch they need to fix but I admit theres a cynical person in me somewhere thinking they're rubbing their hands together in evil laughter when my ball decides to shoot to the left or right several times until i just go "fuck it" and spinball it myself....

Spin-Balling a Pokemon like Zubat or those who are far far from the screen really sucks.
