I thought the renaming trick only worked the first time you get that evolution?

I used Rainer a bit ago, then Pyro for flareon. I tried to evolve my 800 CP Eevee by naming it Rainer again and it became a Flareon. Very sad.

What cut-offs are most people using with IVs when determining trash or keeper Pokemon? Just ran 6 blocks and got a 60-70%ish Lapras - which I assume will be good regardless, but for the more common ones, 85%+? Perfect or bust?

I'm really trying to hold off for 93.3+

89+ is "ok" with me if I can get a 15/15 Attack.

Anyone having issues with radar remnants? Last night I had several Pokemon stay on the radar after despawn for hours

I highly doubt the radar is "broken" honestly , it's just partially turned off. No way in hell they would take this long to fix a bug.

whats this website for knowing how good your pokemon is? And do their abilities reroll when they evolve? So should i not care what they start w/?

Thats been my guess. They probably turned it off on purpose to help server stress. Hoping they turn it back on and/or fix it soon.

Same here, Ive caught a few, theyre uncommon, but recently hatched two, so almost got a Primeape.

Haven't seen one on any gyms yet so hopefully I can showcase it soon.

You can't have any others named [evo name] when you do it. You forgot to change your first one back to Eevee after you evolved it to a Vaporeon.

It's 100% confirmed that it only works the first time you do it with each name. So as much as I would have LIKED my second Rainer named Eevee to become a Vaporeon, that's just not how it works. If you swear that you renamed yours after the first time and got what you wanted, you got lucky. You can check up on the easter eggs that have been found here.

There has always been "ghosting" on the radar, even when the footsteps were working. Sometimes Pokemon just get stuck on there. Usually rebooting your game will fix it, but perhaps it doesn't sometimes.

Go there to check IVs, yes their abilities reroll when they evolve, so it doesn't matter what they start with. There's a move checker there too to see how much DPS each move does. IMO a good IV pokemon with bad moves is worse than a bad IV pokemon with good moves.

Is PokeAssistant's IV calculator broken for anyone else? 99% of what I put in returns "No combinations found for those entries." including those that I have put in before in the past and gotten values for.

I stopped using that one because it drove me furiously nuts - there is something wrong with the website's coding where 90% of the time when you try to put a Pokemon's name into the box it simply doesn't come up. It NEEDS to have the dropdown box with the pokemon name choices come up or else it keeps thinking you're checking the same pokemon you checked previously. It's really annoying and the site isn't optimized for desktop use in the least so I wonder if it only works properly on mobile.
