In Final Fantasy 14 the Real Money Traders ("RMT") have
    basically taken over the game.

Square Enix is in bed with these RMT people I wonder
how much money a month Square Enix gets to look the
other way from the RMT people.

The players of the game have been screaming for
Square Enix to do more but they continue to ignore
    their player base.

Even myself I have posted messages on the FFXIV
forums asking that they at least put in an option where
you can right click on a name in the chat and report a
player similar to what other MMOs have.

Many people have posted on their forums asking
for a way to stop the Gill spam in game and all of
the reports by different players have fallen on deaf
ears. If you search there are literately hundreds if
not thousands of requests asking Square Enix to
    do more to stop this.

Even though Square Enix has RMT listed as a prohibited
action but they do not enforce it.

    Real Money Trade (RMT)
    Our Definition of RMT
RMT is defined as the selling and buying of virtual assets for real-world money.
Virtual assets can include, but is not limited to:
    •Accounts
    •Characters
    •In-game Currency (Gil)
    •In-game Service
    •In-game item

Items and GIL obtained illegally through 3rd party tools or RMT activities can affect
the game’s economic stability, and can disrupt the game play balance. Some 3rd party
programs contain viruses and spyware, which can be harmful to other players unbeknownst
to the 3rd party program user. This can lead to a leak of a user’s personal data,
character deletion, or other unfortunate circumstances. We have a zero tolerance policy
    for RMT.

Their policies look real nice but in the actual game itself this is
not enforced. You get spammed every few minutes by
gold spammers in the game via private messages
and as well as in chat channels in the town.

I have even reported these gil spammers in game and
came back 2 days later and the same spammer is
still spamming on the same account clearly Square
Enix did nothing with the reports, once again this shows
    how scummy Square Enix is.

Square Enix post messages with numbers saying they
have banned a certain number of accounts every
week but that is nothing more than for show to try
and put up a good front to make it look like they are
doing something when really they are not.

Square Enix is two faced and can not be trusted.

I hope that Square Enix is making a lot of money off these
Gil spammers because they are going to start losing their
customers if they don't do something immediately about
these gill spammers and get them out of the game.

Not only do these Gil spammers annoy the players
but also destroy the economy on the servers
    as well.

Bottom line is that Square Enix doesn't care about
their players or anything their players have to say
all they care about is their bottom line. As long as
Square Enix is making money they don't give a damn
    about anyone else.

Avoid the game Final Fantasy 14 and boycott these
    scumbags.

Holy fucking shit. Who let you near a computer?

Seriously, that might be the shittiest formatting anyone has ever used in a post on these forums in over a decade.

You should feel bad, and then get the fuck out.

I feel you. I havent bothered to cap ESOs for a few weeks now. The only reason i'm even logging in anymore is out of obligation to my static. Trying to make time for raids at least 2x a week feels so fucking annoying when I could play something I enjoy instead. I wish they would find a replacement BRD already so I can say bye bye to the game for now.
