I don't mind donating a few here or there but eventually the "if you don't donate you're awful" argument wears thin.

Main problem I have with on-the-spot asking for donations is that the milliseconds you have to respond doesn't allow you to research where your money is actually going, more often than not it's just lining the pockets of greedy people and not actually going towards helping the people/cause it's intended to

This! I will continue to support my local no kill shelter because I know exactly where my money goes.
