I haven't heard Distant Worlds either. Did catch Ragnarok last time I was there though
I want to hear Distant Worlds live so bad, but they refuse to play the song they named their show after.
The venue yesterday shares parking with two other venues, both of which had events last night. Was forced to park a 20! minute walk away. That alone about ruined my night.
I believe I heard Distant Worlds play back in 2011 along with Eyes on Me and A FUCKING PIPE ORGAN for Dancing Mad. Night 2 was the FF6 Opera.

Oof, that reminds me of Metrocon the year it was held the same weekend as the Stanley cup, the lightning stadium and the convention center are walking distance from each other and all the lighting fans and con goers were in the same major 2 hotels. It was a nightmare to get around for anything. Once we found a parking spot that we didn't leave it till Sunday when the con was over. Either uber or stick with what's in walking distance
Opera was at my first Distant worlds and it was amazing
Oh neat, didn't realize they had highlights listed for all their past shows on the site
Some of my favorite moments I've seen include:
-Rikki doing Suteki da ne
-Susan Calloway doing Answers
-Fucking Nobuo and Arnie Roth doing Dark World with Arnie on violin and Nobuo on the piano. Like I can't even stress how much of a "my life has been made" moment this was
I remember the one time the ffxi song was the chocobo theme and i was like "man I feel ripped off right now" lmao
Do you only go for FF11 songs? lol I've never felt anything but amazing after every show I've been to
no i just felt disappointed during that specific song especially since the first time I went, I got ark angels for the ff11 song lol
Haven't regret a single one i've been to but i'm just nit picking xD since FFXI have some of my favorite tracks in the franchise.
I remember when my friend got up after the ff13 song and yelled DAMN even Arnie got a laugh out of it, lol. I want that experience with an ffxi song lmao

Last stop in Boston, whole year to wait![]()
On the train back from Distant worlds. Bummer on nothing from 16. According to Arnie Roth, it's being debuted in Tokyo next week, and bringing back dancing mad there.
Sam Francisco got a bonus as the only ones getting the ff6 opera scene with vocal soloists and a narrator though.

Ooh shit, I'm seeing the FF16 one in NYC later this month. Would be awesome if they have Dancing mad
Distant world NYC was amazing. And Ben Starr was a surprise guest in the 8 PM show that made it even better
New album alert!!!

They redid Distant Worlds with Emi Evans :O
The FF16 songs sound amazing.
I gotta give this a full listen soon
Just your normal tour update - https://www.ffdistantworlds.com/tour
Notables based on what I remember of BGs general locales
Vancouver (July), Calgary (Sept.), Raleigh, Tampa, Sacramento, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Dallas
Gonna go to the Tampa one, for real this time.
They announced they're coming to Vegas early next year. Super excited.
Btw, how does the business of distant worlds work. Do they hire local musicians or are they touring with an entire orchestra?
Anyone have experience with New Worlds? Looks like it’s a sister version of Distant Worlds by S-E, it’s basically in my neck of the woods so was curious.
Also Distant Worlds i think goes with the local orchestra, i don’t think i’ve seen a full orchestra tour.
