Anyone have experience with New Worlds? Looks like it’s a sister version of Distant Worlds by S-E, it’s basically in my neck of the woods so was curious.

Also Distant Worlds i think goes with the local orchestra, i don’t think i’ve seen a full orchestra tour.

I've been to one. It's still nice. It's chamber music so it doesn't have a full orchestra. They tend to play less bombastic and sometimes slower songs. But if you like FF music it is still worth it.

I went to the first one they had years ago at the University of Miami. Like Tyrath said, it's chamber music. Think 7 musicians total? They played town themes and other less grand pieces, though they were still iconic. They did, of course, end with One Winged Angel.

I attended a new worlds concert in San Diego a while back. I loved it. Way less people so the vibes were different. If you love FF music and you're not having to choose between the two, definitely go !

Na, they have never done that before, and NA fanfest is usually in the summer.

Distant Worlds Orlando appears to be on sale. July 10th and 11th. Any Florida BGers going? Looks like this one is going to focus on the music of XIV and XVI so very Soken heavy.

Just discovered that the next day Nobuo is debuting (in US) his con TIKI show at Carnegie hall too. Bought tix to that too, gonna be a great weekend

Gonna head up to the Jul 11 Orlando showing. Amanda Achen's vocals are top tier so it's gonna be a great show.

But man, I still remember my first Distant Worlds where I had the absolute epic surprise of sitting next to the legend. Uematsu decided he wanted a different viewpoint of the orchestra so he came down and happened to sit next to me. Just told him "thank you for making music" and bottled up the fanboy. I can't even remember which song it was that made him come down lol.
